Villa Lieve is an elegant and welcoming villa built on a hillside, surrounded by meadows and woods. It sleeps ten people. From Villa Lieve you will have a broad view of the Umbrian hills and of Orvieto. Villa Lieve is 300 square meters (3230 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a private garden, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 4.5 km (2.8 miles) from Orvieto, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find the closest restaurant at 1 km (roughly 1100 yards). You will reach Villa Lieve from the main entrance of the building without having to climb any steps.
To stay at Villa Lieve you will need a car. You will be able to park it inside the entrance gate.
You will reach Villa Lieve going along a short path that leads to an electric gate. Once the gate is open, a splendid lawn will open up before your eyes. Featuring a spring of water on its side, the lawn will lead you to the beautiful stone villa which dates back to the nineteenth century.
The villa is really beautiful, with its magnificent oil paintings and Persian carpets and its large panoramic windows that open on the charming city of Orvieto.
The villa is surrounded by large undulanting lawns, carefully maintained by the owners.
By walking through the lawns where you will even find a charming rose garden and passing through the well-equipped swimming pool area, you will be able to reach a small lake. Lavander and rosemary plants, that fill the air with beautiful scent, can be found in the small paths of the villa.
In the small lake you will be able to go fishing.
You will reach the swimming pool from the garden going down approximately 15 stairway steps. The pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 12 meters (39 feet) long, from 1 meter (3.3 feet) to 2 meters (6.6 feet) deep. The area is equipped with a table, chairs and deck chairs. From the swimming pool you will have a pleasant view of the garden. The pool is open from mid-May until mid-September.
The ceiling of the living room has characteristic exposed wood beams. The furnishings are warm and welcoming, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include three sofas. There is an elegant fireplace. In this room you will find a large flat-screen satellite television (local channels), a DVD player and a CD player. From the living room you will be able to enter the second patio and the garden through two French doors. The room also has a window with a view of the garden.
You will be able to enter the dining room study. The ceiling is sloped and has characteristic exposed wood beams. The furnishings are elegant and refined, and include some antique pieces. The dining table has an oval shape, and can accommodate ten guests. The furnishings include three armchairs. In this room you will find a piano (please contact us before making your reservation if you plan to use the piano, as we need to make sure that it is in working order). There is an age-old fireplace made of stone. From the dining room you will be able to enter the first and the second patio through two French doors. The room has a large panoramic window.
You will be able to enter the study from the living room and from the dining room. The floor is paved with ancient terracotta tiles. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams. The furnishings are elegant, and include some antique pieces. They include two armchairs and a desk. There is an elegant fireplace, for decorative purposes only. From the study you will be able to enter the second patio through a French door. Here you will also find a telephone.
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the dining room going down five steps. It is spacious and comfortable, equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, an American-style refrigerator with ice-maker, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!), a toaster and other small appliances. There is a big fireplace made of bricks. Here you will also find a washer/dryer. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to a small green area at the back of the house. The room has a window with a view of the garden.
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the dining room. The bedroom has a wrought iron matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the first patio through a French door. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower.
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the kitchen climbing three steps.
The second bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). The room has a window with a view of the garden. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a Jacuzzi bathtub and a hairdryer.
The third bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include a bedroom chair. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). The room has a window. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower.
