Downtown a sloping street gets off Corso Italia and descends gradually to the garden of an ancient hotel in Sorrento, that homed  the 16th-century Italian poet Torquato Tasso. That is Via Padre Reginaldo Giuliani, where is the picturesque entrance of the Restaurant “L’Antica Trattoria”.

A few steps will lead you into a small oasis of plants and flowers, where smells, scents and flavours mix together with the sincere and simple local recipes, re-proposed with a pinch of creativity. Good fish-based dishes accompanied with a notable range of wines, quite pricey but a cool culinary experience indeed.
