Restaurant Il CeppoIn the Cilento National Park, Ristorante il Ceppo is located on the edge of Agropoli. The casual but rustic-styled eatery has several dining rooms on different levels, along with a summer terrace shaded by citrus trees. The menu focuses on traditional dishes, such as the delicious tagliolini clams, shrimp, and zucchini blossoms, or the flavorful zuppa di pesce. An excellent main dish is the fresh fish (catch of the day) baked in a salt crust until perfectly moist and savory. For those who aren't fans of fish, they also serve excellent dishes using local truffles, mushrooms and meat. Try the lemon-cream crostata for dessert. Wash it all down with wine carefully selected by the restaurant's sommelier to highlight the fare. Il Ceppo also offers their own wine, made from a blend of Sangiovese and Syrah grapes. Closed Tuesday.
