Restaurant Bistrot del DucaBistrot del Duca, in the beautiful town of Citta della Pieve, warrants lots of adjectives: tiny, cute, welcoming, friendly, tasty, rustic, charming, delicious. Seriously, this place is worth the trip! Hidden away down a pedestrian lane, you wind through the streets, under archways and finally find the unassuming door that leads you into the dining room. It's very small - just a handful of tables - so reserve in advance. The wall of windows reveals gorgeous views of the town and the countryside and makes the busy bistro feel like it's perched on top of a cliff. The menu changes daily and they offer just a few choices in each course, but everything is prepared perfectly and full of flavor. They take great pride in their dishes and their methods...and the results shine. The service is friendly without being hovering, but they'll gladly answer questions and explain the daily offerings. Spectacular local wines accompany the meals. Closed Sundays. Reservations highly recommended!
