The longest beach in the Cilento, Ascea Marina has room for everyone! Even in August it doesn't feel crowded because the golden sand extends for two unbroken miles along the wide bay. There are large expanses of free beach, along with service concessions that provide umbrellas, chairs, sun beds, changing cabins, facilities and games, along with food and drinks. The beach goes from the border with Casal Velino to the north all the way to the Punta del Telegrafo with its tower on the promontory at the south. (The beach at the point is better known as La Scogliera, see separate entry on that.) The Marina di Ascea beach is easily accessible from the lengthy Lungomare. In town, there are services, stores, restaurants, gelaterias and cafes.
