On the island of Lipari, the small and little-known beach La Forbice is at the south-east part of the island, past the port and town of Lipari. It's the first of a series of coves. You'll need a good set of shoes to get there along the descending path (or rent a boat and arrive by sea). The path is panoramic but you don't want to do it in sandals (especially the return ascent).

The beach is made up of pebbles and stones, backed by trees and rocks. There are no services, so bring your own water and snacks. The water is crystalline and excellent for snorkeling.
