The International Nativity Museum in Morrovalle is a lovely experience, not just at the holidays but any time of year. Dedicated to all forms of the nativity scene, from traditional to avante gard, the museum houses 850 creches and 200 paintings, all depicting the birth of Jesus and the Holy Family. They are in all sizes, shapes and materials, from simple to whimsical to downright stunning.

You can see a mother of pearl creche from Palestine, one in French copper, an ebony nativity scene from Kenya, and one etched on a cameo, to highlight just a few.

The museum is open by request to the Pro Loco of Morrovalle; in December and January it is open every Saturday from 4:00 PM til 7:00 PM. It is located next to the church of San Bartolomeo.
