Gavitella BeachNearby Vettica Maggiore's old town centre, walking down to the beach, you will find two outstanding beauties of the Amalfi Coast: “Torre di Grado” built by the Spanish during the Vicekingdom and Gavitella Beach, in the homonym creek, with a landing-stage, a restaurant and sunloungers/umbrella renting facilities (La Gavitella). Thanks to the amazing position, west-facing Positano, Capri and one of gorgeous and wild Li Galli islands, Gavitella is the only beach along the Amalfi Coast literally kissed by the sun until the sunset. Close to the Gavitella, you will be nicely surprised by the presence of “Fontana dell'Altare”: a natural swimming pool built into a gorgeous secular grotto. From the beach you will be able to visit and enjoy the coast via sea, you will be delighted to reach Marina di Praia and the lonely breathtaking La Praia Beach. La Praia is located in a wonderful creek, where plants and rocks seem to lean out the crystalline sea waters: you will enjoy a simply amazing panorama once there! How to reach Gavitella BeachFrom Via Gennaro Capriglione (S.S. 163, the main coastal road) nearby the Tourist Information Point of Praiano, there's a staircase through which you will reach Piazza San Gennaro. Once in Piazza San Gennaro, looking at the church, the street continues on the right side. After 20 metres turn right and carry on walking until the end of the street, where there's a second staircase to reach the beach. You can also reach Gavitella Beach via sea, renting a boat from Marina di Praia.
