Case del Conte is a sleepy seaside hamlet in the Cilento National Park, placed at the point where the hills meet the Mediterranean Sea. It's considered part of the town of Montecorice, where it borders with Castellabate. In short, it's right in the heart of the Cilento Coast. The town is a cluster of holiday homes and antique structures huddled up together.

The crescent of wide, long beach is backed by the rocky rise of forested hills, making it a special setting. The tranquil, relaxing stretches of seaside are what attracts visitors here. There is also a relic of history in the form a squat, square watch tower built by the Bourbons.

The town's name derives from the Counts of Matarazzo, the noble possessors of old who had a clustering of homes here.

Case del Conte offers the basic services, including coffee bars and a supermarket. There are restaurants in the nearby villages and scattered about the countryside where the delicious dishes of the Cilento can be savoured. For athletic types, you might enjoy a walking-swimming expedition to Ogliastro Marina to enjoy a pizza or a plate of spaghetti alle vongole. Case del Conte is just a few minutes away from San Marco di Castellabate, Santa Maria, Ogliastro Marina, and Acciaroli.
