Cantina Osteria Torre FeranoThere is just one restaurant in the hamlet of Arola, outside Vico Equense, near Naples, but it's worth the trip. It's located in an old wine cellar that has been renovated while maintaining the original architecture. Upstairs there is a cozy dining room with fireplace and stunning views of the gulf of Naples. The dishes follow the seasons, with meat supplied by trustworthy local breeders and vegetables coming from the garden of the family. The owners rely heavily on their carefully tended garden to supply the kitchen with quality ingredients, so many of the recipes are vegetable-based. Everything else is procured from trusted local producers. The menu is seasonal and might include dishes like pork roast baked in pastry crust, ravioli stuffed with walnut cream, or chicken alla cacciatore. The restaurant is located up in the hills just at the beginning of the Sorrento Peninsula and takes in lovely views.
