In the Oneglia section of Imperia the Borgo Peri beach is listed as a bandiera blu (blue flag) for its cleanliness and accessibility. The two-arched beach just beyond the marina is dotted with colorful umbrellas (lidos) but also offers some free public beach sections, too. There is parking at the marina.

The area has a lovely seafront promenade, locally called the "spianata" lined with palm trees, and sprinkled with bars and restaurants. Behind the palm trees across the street are colorful homes that give it an air of a Ligurian fishing town.

The beach is mostly pebbles with some sand mixed in.
