Beach Giardini Naxos

Golden sand, water that deepens gradually, and rocky scrub-covered hills as a backdrop all make the beach at Giardini Naxos attractive. There are tracts of free beach ("spiaggia libera") and concessions that provide services, food, and umbrella rentals with sun beds.

The free beach means you bring your own umbrella and beach blanket, but you can certainly use the restaurants, snack bars, restrooms and showers at the concessions. Plus, the beach is right in town, so cross the street and find eateries and services, too.

The concessions give you a carefree day, pay the fee and park yourself under an umbrella, getting drinks, snacks and meals just a few steps away. Lido La Romantica is one such vendor, but there are several to choose from.

Those who prefer pebble beaches will want to head down to the frazione of Recanati, where stones keep the water filtered and clear.
