Can we stay not from Saturday to Saturday?

That is a question that we get asked a lot.  The answer is: yes, if it is convenient for you. Here is how to decide when booking a villa for a stay that begins or ends on a day different than Saturday is worth the while (and it usually is!).

Tip: keep reading to find out how to make your Friday-to-Friday or Sunday-to-Sunday booking.

With a very few exceptions, we are indeed able to arrange for you to arrive or depart at the villa of your choice on a day other than Saturday, as long as it is ok for you to pay for a rental that goes from Saturday to Saturday.  This applies to bookings for the season that goes from the beginning of April to the end of October.  From the beginning of November to the end of March we are sometimes able to have you pay only for the number of nights that you sleep at the villa.  Also, for bookings made at the very last moment, less than a week in advance, we might be able to pro-rate the price as well.

Depending on the size of your party and the cost of an alternative accommodation, booking from Saturday to Saturday and arriving late or leaving early might indeed be an interesting possibility.  When evaluating your options consider the benefits of renting a villa, such as the option to cook your own meals, the greater privacy, the extra space at your disposal and the uniqueness of the experience.

The following are a few examples to help you visualize your options.

A. You wish to book Friday-to-Friday or Sunday-to-Sunday

If you are looking to make a Friday-to-Friday or Sunday-to-Sunday booking, then your situation will look like this:

Friday-to-Friday: consider spending your first night at a hotel

or like this:

Sunday-to-Sunday: consider spending your last night at a hotel

In both cases, you might want to consider making a one-week Saturday-to-Saturday booking and spend one night at a hotel.  This way you will be able to enter your villa on Saturday and depart on Friday (if you are doing Friday-to-Friday), or to enter on Sunday and depart on Saturday (if you are doing Sunday-to-Sunday). Renting a villa for a week a staying six nights is definitely a possibility!

B. You wish to book for less than 7 nights within a Saturday-to-Saturday period

Short stay within a Saturday-to-Saturday week: renting for a week is often convenient

In this case, unless you are staying for just two or three nights, making a Saturday-to-Saturday reservation is almost always a convenient option.

C. You wish to book for less than 7 nights over two Saturday-to-Saturday periods

Short stay over the week-end: this might not be convenient

This is the worst-case scenario.  From the beginning of April to the end of October, unless you are booking less than a week in advance, we would need you to pay for two full weeks only to stay a few nights.

D. You wish to book for 7 nights or more over two Saturday-to-Saturday periods

Your stay spans over two Saturday-to-Saturday weeks: you might find some convenience depending on the number of nights to spend at the villa

Depending on the actual length of your stay, it might be worth considering renting a villa for two weeks.  The longer you stay, the more convenient the villa gets.  Probably you will find that spending some nights at a villa and some others at hotel will bring you the greatest advantage.

E. You wish to book for 9 nights or more over three Saturday-to-Saturday periods

Your stay spans over three Saturday-to-Saturday weeks: you might find some convenience depending on the number of nights to spend at the villa

Again, whether a three-week villa rental is convenient depends on the actual length of your stay.  As stated above, a combination of villa and hotel bookings might prove most effective.

If you are ready to book, please feel free to make your Saturday-to-Saturday booking through our web site at any moment.  Then please drop us a note to let us know your actual arrival and departure date.  We will be happy to make the necessary special arrangements for you!
