• The only possible drawback to the apartment is that there are several hundred steep steps required to reach it. We loved the enhanced privacy the out-of-the-way location afforded us, but it is not the accommodation for anyone who is physically handicapped.

• Signora Connie sent her son to help with carrying the suitcase up to the apartment, which made things very easy on arrival.
• Public transport links are excellent for those who, like us, don't want the nuisance of a car.
• Pack mosquito repellent!
• We used the Sunflower walking guide to help us work out the best of the local walks, they're all great but we can thoroughly recommend the Sentiero degli Dei from Bomerano to Positano, and the walk up to the Caserma, west to Santa Maria then back down to Positano.
• The Alimentari in Montepertuso is splendid.
