• Florence and the surrounding area are very easy to reach by bus from the village.

• Everything you need re. food etc available from large local Coop - a short 5 minute drive away. Well stocked with cheeses, breads, pasta, olives plus all basic necessities.
• San Casciano had decent cafes, bookshop, chemists. Not touristy. Worth seeing local market in San Casciano on Mondays. Again, not touristy, but for locals.

• The owners are very kind and really helpfull if it is necessary!! They give you good adresses to go to eat or to go for a Vespa- or scooter-trip.
