Travel tips and advice for Appartamento GabrieleRobert Brockel Sr., Pa, Bethlehem, United States August 2, 2008 - Don't take a taxi from the airport. It was the worst ride of our lives!
Adrian Padurean, Brookfield, WI, United States March 29, 2008 - Don't visit Rome in March (nothing to do with the apartment). The weather is worse than in winter (according to a Roman guide) - bitter cold, windy and rainy (it can't get worse than that!). We had only one day of break with sun and warmer temperature.
Kristine Takekawa, Kailua, HI, United States January 5, 2008 - Restaurant La Vittoria, at the bottom of the hill on Via Fornaci is a wonderful restaurant. We ate there several times.
-
Another restaurant not to be missed for at least one meal is I Quattro Mori, also within walking distance.
-
The grocery store is a 10 minute walk up Via Fornaci.
-
The owner has a guest book, and you should read what other guests have written for suggestions as well.
Hilary Anderson, Ipswich, United Kingdom June 2, 2007 - If you are arriving by bus from the station, walk back down the road on the same side as the bus stop 50 meters or so, and then cross this road by using the underpass. As you emerge from the underpass, the cobbled street leading sharply up the hill on your left is the road the apartment is on.
-
There's an excellent fruit/veg and general grocer's shop on Via Della Stazione San Pietro (opposite the end of the road called Via Alessandro).
