Travel tips and advice for Villa BrendaLinley Head, Perth, Australia September 18, 2010 - There is a lovely truck stop/cafe/bar heading north from the villa about 500 metres, perfect for a quick drink or a leisurely pizza evening. The view is spectacular from here.
-
Day trips on the bus which stops outside the villa both ways are so easy, we particularly enjoyed Ravello.
-
We hired a small boat and went to Capri for the day, it was very reasonable and easy to navigate our way, skippers experience necessary though.
Lynne Clyne, Cambridge, Canada October 18, 2008 - The large burner sometimes "flips" a fuse if the small one is on at the same time - just flip the breaker.
-
Morning coffee at the Piazza in town can be relaxing or eventful depending on the day, but well worth doing.
-
The pizza place 2 minutes walk up the hill is excellent.
Magne Lyngmo, Trondheim, Norway September 20, 2008 - Interesting pizzeria 3 mins. walk up from the flat.
-
Great views from the terrace.
Chris Paschall, Jacksonville, FL, United States June 7, 2008 - On two nights, we picked up some groceries in Amalfi, stocked up the kitchen and made dinner and sat out on the terrace instead of walking into town.
Kimberly Juelg, West Chester, OH, United States May 24, 2008 - We did walk up the hill 100-200 meters and found the gate going down to the beach. You have to look closely, as it looks like it is locked. You should have strong legs - it's 465 stairs down and back up!
-
We took day trips to Positano, Ravello and Pompeii - all were well worth the trip.
-
The drive along the coast is breathtaking in all directions.
