• Stop by the market or Deli and pick up food and beverages -- this allowed us to just sit back and enjoy the views.
• Dinners out are a little pricey, but several wonderful restaurants are in the area. We highly recommend Restaurant da Vincenzo -- 240 steps up from the beach.

• There are so many little shops and restaurants through out the town that we found just by walking. Restaurant Le Terrazze is a must for a fine dinning experience with breathtaking views. Of course any returning visitor or first timers have to go to Restaurant Chez Black, he is so welcoming!

• Stay here and you won't be disappointed.
• Make sure you use the Porters for your luggage and a private transfer to Positano is definitely the best way and least stressful. We used Renato at Limousine Service Sorrento and he rang ahead and organised our porter and our host to meet us at Pamela B. He was fantastic and very reasonably priced.
• Restaurant La Cambusa was the best restaurant on the beach especially for its lobster pasta.

• We would recommend seeking an alternative to the Circumvesuviana train to get from Naples to Sorrento. We found it to be a grueling experience on our trip to Positano (although we were on an older train with no air conditioning). Our solution was to take the ferry to Capri and another ferry from Capri to Naples on our way back, which was more expensive but much easier.

• I think all the restaurants we ate in were very good, especially the Covo dei Saraceni.
• It's worth going to Le Sirenuse for lunch for the views.
• Luca at L'Incanto right next door took good care of us for morning coffee, afternoon cocktails, snacks and made us feel at home.
