• Owner doesn't speak much English, but very friendly and helpful.
• Osteria da Luisella restaurant in Atrani lovely (recommend Amalfi Pasta).
• Takeaway Pizza cheap and excellent from the pizzeria on the sea front in Atrani.

• Lovely place if you like to be away from very touristy sites. Great to get a feel for Italian seaside living.
• Be prepared to climb steep steps. Count on needing a car to get to Ravello.

• If you do not have a car, make sure you get a copy of the bus timetable straight away.
• The apartments is located in a very beautiful location but it is a 10-15 min walk to either town.

• Make sure you bring everything you need to make a home from home: books, local info and basic cooking ingredients -- also a willingness to speak Italian, or at least a phrasebook -- the caretaker is very nice but he speaks no English.
• There are fabulous restaurants all around especially Ravello -- if you don't want to drive to them, take some sturdy walking shoes as the path to Ravello is pretty strenuous --worth the effort, but you'll need a torch at night if you want to avoid the main road.
• Take care if you're driving to the villa, especially on the entrance to the drive -- there are two metal bars sticking out of the gate for no conceivable reason, and they're very easy to hit if you approach at the wrong angle. We scraped our car on them during the week we were there.
