• Take time to go to the old Castellabate village for dinner.

• There was plenty of car parking at the apartments although the entrance was quite tight and required good clutch control!
• We ate in the restaurants on the beach and in Santa Maria itself. The bar in the hotel next door had a nice terrace although the food in their dining room was not very good and more aimed at the coach party market.
• Of the local towns that we visited we thought Castellabate, Acciaroli and Pioppi were the nicest although we did not go further south than this.

• Kitchen is a little basic but fine for preparing cold food and cooking pasta, etc. on the hob. We ate in the village most evening... very reasonably indeed.
