Holiday Home Description

Villa Selvaggia is a bright and sunny three-story villa built sheer above the sea. It sleeps eight people. From Villa Selvaggia you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the small Li Galli islands. Villa Selvaggia is 250 square meters (2690 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a wide private terrace with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning and winter heating.

You will be roughly 4 km (2.5 miles) from Piano di Sorrento, where you will find the shops and public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant at 3 km (roughly 1.9 miles), a grocery store at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile), the stop for the local bus at 2 km (roughly 1.2 miles) and the closest beach at 4 km (roughly 2.5 miles). You will reach Villa Selvaggia from the main entrance of the building along a 100-meters (330-feet) private walkway that is cut into the rocky cliff and includes approximately 70 stairway steps.

Once arrived you will enter a patio, which was made out from terracing the mountainous coastline: you will face a large horizon of blue sea and, glancing down, you will find the rocky coast, covered by low-growing vegetation, that dives into the sea. On the side is the outline of a high cliff, sloping vertically down to the sea. There is also a path carved in this cliff which leads to Villa Selvaggia. A cableway installed on the patio will help you carrying your luggages up to the villa.

All along the path, you will notice small plots of land among the rocks, terraced gardens cultivated with olive trees and grape arbours. Succulent plants sprout from every crack of the rocks, and where the path gets narrow, you will admire small palms and red hibiscus, framing the blue of the sea.

Villa Selvaggia camouflages itsled with the landscape: the building is set into the rock and includes old grottoes and ravines. Inside are some rocky walls. You will surely like and get enchanted by the furnishings, rich in ancient typical objects of this area.

The Villa offers charming spaces al-fresco: kitchen, wood-burning oven for pizza and barbecue placed under a patio and beside a large terrace, just perfect for your romantic dinners with moonlight on the sea! You might also book the work of an experienced and nice chef, in order to fully enjoy the local cuisine!

You will also have the opportunity to take part in a fun initiative, called "That's Sapore", arranged by the owners of Villa Selvaggia for you. Famous chefs from Campania, renowned wine experts, artisan producers of the tastiest Italian specialties will be there at your disposal. They will make you live an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Next to the swimming pool is a shadowed dining room, made out from a natural grotto and equipped with sofas, tables and chairs, bar, big fridge with freezer, stereo with CD, MP3 and I-pod player. In the evening the music and striking lighting, the stars and the ship-lights on the sea, will wrap you in a romantic atmosphere.... a perfect place to organize parties and small receptions.

The last marvels at Villa Selvaggia is just there, at the end of the path dug into the rock. It is an isolated corner, and if you see it from the sea it seems to be reachable only by the gulls. You will find there a small terrace with a sofa, where to enjoy a magic peace and silence while admiring the sky and the sea....

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is 3 meters (10 feet) large by 8 meters (26 feet) long, from 1.50 meter (5 feet) to 1.70 meters (5.6 feet) deep. It has a whirlpool corner. The swimming pool area is equipped with tables, chairs, deck chairs, sun loungers, an hammock and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and of the coastline. The pool is open from the beginning of April until the end of October.

Terrace 1

The first terrace is 50 square meters (540 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the living room. It is partly shaded by a porch made of stone and by a wood roof. It is equipped with tables, chairs, deck chairs and an hammock. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven. From the terrace you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the small Li Galli islands.

The garden is 500 square meters (5380 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by trees and pergolas. You will be able to reach it from the living room and from the dining room. It is equipped with tables, chairs, deck chairs and an hammock. From the garden you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea.

Fitness Room with bathroom

At Villa Selvaggia you will find a fitness room equipped with an exercise bike, a cross trainer, a treadmill and a sauna. The fitness room is located on the roof level. You will be able to enter it from a corridor going up a spiral staircase. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. The furnishings include a divan bed with a trundle bed to sleep two guests. Here you will also find a bathroom, dug into the rock and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and large fully-enclosed shower.

Living Room 1

The living room is paved with terracotta tiles. The furnishings are warm and welcoming, and include some antique pieces. They include sofas, armchairs and a desk. There is a fireplace made of bricks. The dining table can accommodate ten guests. In this room you will find a satellite television, a DVD player and a CD player with FM radio. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace and the garden with a view of the sea through two French doors. The room has a window with a view of the sea.

Living Room 2

You will find the second living room on the first floor. The furnishings include two sofas. The dining table can accommodate four guests. The room has a large panoramic window with a view of the sea. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Kitchen

You will find the kitchen on the ground floor. You will be able to enter it from the living room. It is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!), a toaster and a kettle. The kitchen has a window with a view of the sea.

Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom

The first bedroom is located on the bottom floor. You will reach it from the living room going down a stairway which consists of approximately 20 steps. The furnishings are warm and welcoming. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). There is an age-old fireplace made of bricks. The room has a window with a view of the sea. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub with fixed shower head and a hairdryer.

Bedroom 2 with en-suite bathroom

The second bedroom is located on the bottom floor. You will reach it from the living room going down a stairway which consists of approximately 12 steps. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches). The room has a window with a view of the sea. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower.

Bedroom 3

The third bedroom is located on the first floor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a small balcony with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The room has a large panoramic window with a view of the sea. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bathroom

The bathroom is located on the first floor. It is tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, large fully-enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the other living room.

Half-bath 1

The half-bath is located on the ground floor. It is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet.

Half-bath 2

The half-bath is located on the garden level. It is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. Here you will also find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board.

The rental price includes: linens; Wi-Fi Internet connection; electricity up to 150 kW per week; cleaning twice a week; towels, changed mid-week.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Villa Selvaggia the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 700, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
