Holiday Home Description

Villa Del Canovaccio is a characteristic two-story ancient house which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps four people. From Villa Del Canovaccio you will enjoy a wonderful view of Positano and of the sea. Villa Del Canovaccio is 120 square meters (1290 square feet). It features a nice private terrace with a view of the sea and air conditioning.

You will be in the seventeenth-century historic center of Positano, a few steps from restaurants, the shops and the stop for the local bus. You will find the beach at roughly 1 km (0.6 miles). You will reach Villa Del Canovaccio from the street level going up a public walkway that includes approximately 75 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Del Canovaccio. If you do have one, you will be able to park it for a fee, along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces) or in a private parking lot (where a space can be reserved) or in a public parking lot (where a space can not be reserved).

Villa del Canovaccio is part of the oldest area of Positano. You will be in the heart of that picturesque cluster of houses built on a steep rocky coast facing the sun and sea which renders the panorama of Positano so famous and unmistakable!

You will be halfway between the beach and the local coast road, making it possible to reach either one either on foot or by bus. The road below the villa is a one-way street run only by local cars and shuttles commuting from/to the lower and upper area of Positano, which means they go from the beach and the pedestrian-shopping streets down below to the main road above.

You can easily reach the elegant-shopping streets and the beach by descending a pedestrian shortcut. Walking through the old ‘scalinatelle’ (little streets consisting of narrow stairways) of Positano is something not to be missed if your legs allow you to do so! While climbing down the steps, besides the most visited places by tourists, you will discover and unveil enchanting angles of Positano. And then, once you have gone all they way below on foot, you can always go back up by the local shuttle!

Patio

The patio is 50 square meters (540 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a bougainvillea pergola. It is equipped with a table, chairs and deck chairs. From the patio you will enjoy a charming view of the sea.

Living Room

You will find the living room on the ground floor. The floor is paved with terracotta tiles. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are cozy and comfortable, and include some antique pieces. They include sofas and armchairs. There is an age-old fireplace made of stone. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a television. From the living room you will be able to enter the patio with a view of the sea and of the coastline through three French doors. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Kitchen

You will find the kitchen on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. Here you will also find a washing machine and an iron. There is a table to seat four guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the patio with a view of the sea.

Bedroom 1

The first bedroom is located on the first floor. You will be able to enter it from the corridor. The ceiling is high and vaulted. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a small terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bedroom 2

The second bedroom is located on the first floor. You will be able to enter it from the other bedroom or from the terrace. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a small terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bathroom 1

The first bathroom is located on the ground floor. It is spacious and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.

Bathroom 2

The second bathroom is located on the first floor. It is spacious and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub with shower wand and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Villa Del Canovaccio the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 500, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
