Holiday Home Description

Villa Scannagallo D is an elegant and welcoming apartment in the characteristic style of the Tuscan countryside. It sleeps six people. It is appoximately 50 square meters (540 square feet). Villa Scannagallo D features a shared swimming pool, a shared terrace, a shared garden and winter heating.

You will be roughly 1 km (0.6 miles) from Pozzo della Chiana, where you will find a restaurant and a grocery shop. You will find the stop for the local bus at 200 meters (660 feet).

Villa Scannagallo D is located on the first floor of the building. You will reach it from the main entrance of the building going up a stairway which consists of approximately 14 steps. The building has no elevator.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Scannagallo D. If you do have one, you will be able to park it inside the entrance gate.

Villa Scannagallo is an ancient villa in the Valdichiana valley of Tuscany, very near to the major cities of art. The villa is surrounded by a park of olive-trees in which there is the swimming pool.

This country house is situated on a hill that is covered by olive-trees and it is right next to Marciano della Chiana, a town that thanks to its castle and tower dominates the valley.

Until few years ago the villa represented the heart of a wide farm, then, a recent and accurate restoration turned it into a comfortable holiday house, divided into six apartments. Villa Scannagallo is surrounded by a park where the many green wide spaces are furnished with garden pieces of furniture. The swimming pool of the park is among the flourishing foliage of the olive-trees and it is equipped with umbrellas and sun beds. The furniture of the apartments, which is comfortable, is high in quality and style. The apartments are all independent and the whole complex can accommodate a maximum of 24 guests.

The owners of the Villa Scannagallo recently decided to restore the villa and to give it new life by turning it into an ideal place where to spend your holidays. There you can live completely immersed in the green of Tuscany, far from stress and traffic in order to enjoy endless moments of authentic relax.

Mrs. Antonietta, the real soul of this restoration, will personally welcome you in her estate upon your arrival. Should you need information on what to visit, on cellars' visits, on spas, on walking tours, on how to go on an excursion by bicycle, or on any other sport, just ask the family and they will be glad to help you.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is 7 meters (23 feet) large by 14 meters (46 feet) long. The swimming pool area is equipped with sun umbrellas, deck chairs, sun loungers and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will have a broad view of the surrounding countryside and of the olive grove. You will share the pool with the other guests staying at the complex. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of September.

Garden

The garden is partly shaded by trees. It is equipped with tables and chairs. Here you will also find a barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven. From the garden you will have a splendid view of the surrounding countryside. You will share the garden with the other guests staying at the complex.

Laundry room

A laundry room is on the ground floor. You will be able to enter it from the main entrance hall. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal. You will share the laundry with the other guests staying at the complex.

Unit Description

Living Room

The living room is paved with characteristic terracotta tiles. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams. The furnishings are warm and elegant. They include a divan that unfolds into a double bed. There is an age-old and impressive fireplace frescoed with the coat of arms of the family. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is well equipped, with a cooker with three gas burners and one electric burner, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!) and a toaster. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. The room has two windows with a view of the countryside.

Bedroom 1

The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a partial view of the swimming pool and of the garden.

Bedroom 2

The bedroom has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested. The room has a window with a view of the garden.

Bathroom

The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Villa Scannagallo D the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
