Holiday Home Description

Suite Citerea is an elegant studio apartment built sheer above the sea. It sleeps two people. It is appoximately 30 square meters (320 square feet). It features direct access to the sea, a private terrace with a view of the sea, a shared garden, air conditioning and winter heating.

You will be roughly 1.5 km (one mile) from Positano, a few steps from public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant at 700 meters (770 yards). You will reach Suite Citerea from the parking area along a walkway that includes approximately 40 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Suite Citerea. If you do have one, you will be able to park it inside the entrance gate.

Location

Suite Citerea is part of a villa built attached to a high rocky coast overlooking the sea. Once on its terrace, you will feast your eyes on a breathtaking view of the sea and the enthralling stretch of coast which goes from the town of Positano to Punta Campanella and also the island of Capri. Quite special to you will be the spectacular and romantic view of Capri and its Faraglioni (limestone masses standing out of the sea). By looking down below under the terrace, between you and the blue of the sea, you will notice only a short stretch of verdant coast whose crowns of pines grow amidst the spectacular steep rocks. The air is clean and transparent, and you can feel even the scent of the surrounding flowers. The peacefulness of the place is just perfect.

Suite Citerea features an entrance which is separate from the rest of the villa, and it is also the only apartment of the villa available for rental. The rest of the villa is inhabited by its owners, a nice couple who speak very good English and who will help whenever you need and ask.

From the house you can reach the sea below: a trail along the rock, sometimes shaded by a Boungainvillea or by the crowns of pines, will lead you till sea level, where you will be able to sunbathe on deck chairs or go for a swim by diving into the sea from a concrete board. The stroll up to the sea level is meant to be taken only by those whose legs are in shape: you will have to take an easy path, but it consists of 500 steps to climb down. Being tired at the end will definitely be worthy since at every step taken you will unveil new bits of a fascinating view of the sea.

In Positano you will have a lot of shops, bars, restaurants, a large sand beach and ferries which link Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi and all the tourist places of the coast and the island of Capri by sea.

Terrace

The terrace is 45 square meters (485 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and two sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea.

Living Room

Here you will find a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings are elegant and refined. They include a sofa and two armchairs. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette can be closed in a cupboard and is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker, a small refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate three guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a broad view of the sea and of the valley below through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bathroom

The bathroom is tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and large fully-enclosed shower.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Suite Citerea the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 250, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
