Holiday Home Description

Casa Misia is a lovely 35-square-meter (about 377 square feet) apartment which sleeps two people. It features a terrace with a romantic view of the sea and the coast.

It’s located in the heart of Praiano, being 200 meters (about 656 feet) away from the access to the sea. Casa Misia also features air-conditioning.

There is a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a small living-room with a kitchenette, and a 12-square-meter (about 129 square feet) terrace with a sea view.

Casa Misia is located in a part of the eighteenth-century Praiano which has been built on the slopes of a stretch of coast which goes from the state road to the sea.

The town consists of white houses woven by small gardens and vegetable gardens; all lined along a little pedestrian street which descends along the coast until reaching the sea. Here everything is peaceful, the air is clean and sea and lemon scented. Here you will meet the true inhabitants of Praiano instead of crowds of tourists.

The entrance to this pedestrian area of Praiano is marked by the Church of San Gennaro. You will recognize right away just upon arrival in Praiano: there is a large dome covered in glossy terracotta tiles and a there is also a churchyard consisting of a large square overlooking the sea and a fascinating view of the coast of Positano and Capri.

Casa Misia is 50 meters (about 164 feet) away from the aforementioned square and nearest shops and restaurants.

You can reach Casa Misia from the coastal road after going along a pedestrian street without the need of climbing any steps. The entrance to the house in on the same level of the street.

Once through the small entrance, you will step into a small living-room furnished with a small table, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette apparatus body is closed inside a cabinet. It features a two-burner stove, a small oven and a fridge, and everything you may need to prepare breakfast or a simple meal.

The bedroom is spacious and bright, and you can reach the terrace overlooking the sea from the room. You will have a double bed, a large closet, and a TV set.

The view of the terrace of Casa Misia will leave you amazed: before your eyes you will have the blue of the sea and the view of the stretch of coast going from the town of Positano up to the island of Capri far in the horizon.

On the terrace you will have a table with chairs, two sun loungers to sunbathe and several vases rich in flowers. A retractable awning will allow you to enjoy some shade whenever you want.

You will enjoy spending time on the terrace while admiring the sunset over the sea or having a romantic dinner under the stars…

From Casa Misia you can reach the beach called Gavitella on foot. Although the way consists of a descending path of 337 steps along a rocky coast, you will be rewarded by a fascinating panorama.

Gavitella is a gravel beach where you will see a concrete platform which works as an access to the sea. At the beach, during spring/summer, you can have the services of a beach establishment with a restaurant-bar and a ferry which takes you to other beaches, such as the beach of Praia or Positano.

Sandy beaches nearby can be reached either by land with the local mini-shuttle (bus stop is 50 meters or about 164 feet away from Casa Misia ) or by sea, with mini-ferries or local boats.

While spending your vacation in Praiano you will be in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, halfway between Positano and Amalfi (about 16 km or about 10 miles away). You will be in a perfect place to visit either by land or sea the enthralling towns of the Amalfi Coast, and also Capri and Ischia, Sorrento, the archaeological ruins of Pompeii, the temples of Paestum, the Reggia (Royal Palace) of Caserta, and the coast of the Parco Nazionale del Cilento (National Park of Cilento).

You don’t need a car during your stay at Casa Misia. In Praiano you will have the bus stop of the SITA bus, which links towns ranging from the coast of Sorrento to the coast of Salerno. There are also local mini-shuttles which take you from Praiano to the beach of Praia and Positano. However, in case you have a car, there is a parking lot about 400 meters (about 1,312 feet) away from the house.

In both Amalfi and Positano you will be able to board ferries and hydrofoils of the place and also rent boats to go on private excursions.

If you’re fond of trekking, don’t miss a walk along trails which unravel on top of mountains along the coast. You begin it with the visit to the Convent of San Domenico, an “easy” stroll leaving from the town of Praiano, and finish it with the ‘Sentiero degli Dei’ (Trail of the Gods), a path holding such name due to the extraordinary beauty of landscapes, all to be unveiled by you.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Casa Misia the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 100, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
