Holiday Home Description

Villa Giampa is a splendid villa with the fascination of the typical and ancient mediterranean houses. It sleeps 11 people. From Villa Giampa you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea and of the coastline. Villa Giampa is 160 square meters (1720 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, two wide private terraces with a view of the sea, a private garden and air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed).

You will be in a pedestrian precinct, in the seventeenth-century historic center of Praiano, where you will find restaurants, the shops and the stop for the SITA bus and for the local bus. You will find the closest beach at roughly 1 km (0.6 miles). You will reach Villa Giampa from the street level going up a 150-meters (490-feet) public walkway that includes approximately 62 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Giampa. If you do have one, you will be able to park it for a fee, in a parking lot.

Villa Giampa is part of the historical center of Praiano, which consists of a cluster of white houses on the highest area of a steep slope of a hill overlooking the sea. The houses are nestled around the beautiful bell-tower and the eighteenth-century church of San Luca.

In this area of Praiano, almost all the houses date back to the eighteenth century. They feature white façades often decorated with stuccoes, patios below masonry arches sustaining terraces facing the sea, and sloping gardens filled with flowers and citrus trees around. To walk through such extraordinary village, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO, means climbing narrow stairways and pedestrian streets.

The whole area is made for pedestrians, except for the only access street to the main square. Here you will not find streets packed with tourists; all you will see are the kind inhabitants of the place. And you will be able to experience the fascination and authentic beauty of the Amalfi Coast: one not changed by the actions of tourism!

Villa Giampa lies in a secluded position, having been built chiefly on a rocky steep slope. Once you have crossed the entrance gate, a beautiful white staircase - flanked with pots full of flowers - will lead you up on a terrace which is the access to both the house and a second larger terrace (through an external flight of steps).

Villa Giampa will enchant you for sure! You'll face only the blue of the sky and the sea, while both sides show the green coastal outline spotted with the typical white houses in Praiano.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is at the roof level. The pool is 4 meters (13 feet) large by 6 meters (20 feet) long. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a spellbinding view of the sea and of the coastline. The pool is open from the beginning of April until the end of October.

Terrace 1

The first terrace is 40 square meters (430 square feet) large. It is shaded by a porch. The terrace is equipped with masonry benches, as well as with a table, chairs and an hammock. Here you will also find a barbecue. From the terrace you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea.

Terrace 2

The second terrace is on the roof level. It is 200 square meters (2150 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the main terrace along an external stairway. It is partly shaded by a gazebo. The terrace is equipped with a wickerwork sofa and two armchairs, as well as with a table, chairs, sun umbrellas, deck chairs and sun loungers. On the terrace you will find a fitness area equipped with a home gym, a fitness bench and a rowing machine. From the terrace you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea and of the coastline.

Garden

The garden is 60 square meters (645 square feet) large. It is shaded by a perfumed lemon pergola. You will be able to reach it from the roof terraca. The garden is equipped with a wickerwork sofa, as well as with a table, chairs and hammocks. From the garden you will have a gorgeous view of the sea.

Living Room

You will be able to enter the living room from the main terrace. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are simple and comfortable. The furnishings include two armchairs and a divan that unfolds into a double bed. There is a nice fireplace made of stone. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. The room has an arched window. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Kitchen

The kitchen is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker and other small appliances. There is a table to seat four guests.

Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom

You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed) and a twin bed (80 cm/32 inches). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a small balcony through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower.

The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower.

Bathroom

The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower. Here you will also find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Villa Giampa the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 250, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
