Holiday Home Description

Appartamento Dino B is a charming apartmentlocated 400 meters (440 yards) from the Grand Canal and 15 minutes from St. Mark's Square. It sleeps five people. It is appoximately 50 square meters (540 square feet). It features air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and broadband Internet access through Ethernet LAN.

You will be in a pedestrian precinct, in the heart of Venice, where you will find restaurants, the shops and public transportation.

Appartamento Dino B is located on the second floor of an ancient building. You will reach it from the main entrance of the building going up approximately 50 stairway steps. The building has no elevator.

The Dino Apartments are part of an ancient Venetian building of the fifteenth century. The building, in the characteristic Gothic style, is composed of four rental apartments, a few private apartments owned and inhabited by locals, and a small hotel with only ten rooms.

This ancient building is situated in the Sestiere of Santa Croce (a "Sestiere" is one of the six neighborhoods into which Venice is divided). This area of Venice was originally just a handful of tiny islands scattered in the marsh, inhabited by wolves rather than by men. It developed slowly over centuries, with the hard labor of the locals, who were able to develop an urban area out of the unfriendly environment.

As a guest of the apartment you will be able to enjoy the 24-hour reception services, the bar of the hotel (extra cost), request morning breakfast (extra cost), or use the Internet point (first 10 minutes are free of charge, then a small charge applies).

The apartments have been carefully restored in 2006. They are furnished with elegant antique pieces, decorated with original lamps in Murano glass and their walls are coated with refined and colorful Venetian plaster. Most rooms still boast the original floors that were renovated in the seventeenth century, carefully maintained by the loving hand of the owners.

The building is only an eight-minute walk away from the Railway Station of Santa Lucia (Stazione Ferroviaria di Santa Lucia), which connects Venice to the mainland. The Canal Grande, the main water street in Venice, is only 400 meters (about 440 yards) away. Piazzale Roma is at only 5 minutes. You can reach Piazza San Marco (which is approximately 1.2 miles away) and the Ponte di Rialto either by taking a boat or a fifteen-minute stroll.

Living Room

The furnishings of the living room are elegant and welcoming, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include two single divan beds. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker, a refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate five guests. In this room you will find a satellite television and an Ethernet plug for broadband Internet connection (don't forget your cable!). The room has a window with a view of the canal below. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bedroom

You will be able to enter the bedroom from the living room. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), that can be split into twins if requested and a twin bed (80 cm/32 inches). The room has a Juliet balcony with a view of the canal below. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bathroom

The bathroom is tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a Jacuzzi bathtub with fixed shower head and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.

The rental price includes: final cleaning; electricity; Wi-Fi Internet connection; mid-week cleaning; linens, changed mid-week; towels, changed mid-week.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.
