It is 30 meters (about 98 feet) away from the sea. It can sleep seven people, and it is equipped with parking space and winter heating. The house is located in Praiano, which is halfway between Amalfi and Positano, about 7 km (about 4.3 miles) away from both places. There is a double bedroom, a bedroom with a 140 cm (about 55 inches) bed, a bedroom with four bunk beds, two bathrooms, a large living-room, and a small kitchen. The place Villa Geraldina is part of a large and white house attached to a steep stretch of rocky coast overlooking the sea. The house is located halfway between the coastal state road and the sea. Around the house, all you will see is the green of the Mediterranean vegetation, which grows lushly amidst rocks and the blue of the sky. Arriving at the villa is quite easy: on the coastal state road, you will find a white gate which leads to a convenient private parking space. Then you have to go ahead on foot for about 30 meters (about 98 feet) until you get to the villa; that will consist of about 50 steps to climb. Having a car is not necessary during your stay: the bus stop is 50 meters (about 164 feet) away from the villa. You will find the first shops and restaurants about 300 meters (about 984 feet) away. Villa Geraldina faces the sea and the sun. The house Geraldina is part of has been built to hold vacation homes and has been divided into apartments. The other apartments are used by the owners during their vacation and they are not available for rent. Residents share the access to the sea. The access to the sea In order to reach the sea from Villa Geraldina, you have to descend a trail dug in the rocky coast overlooking the sea. It is a walk which you will enjoy, for all along the path you will feast your eyes on a panorama of breathtaking view. There are about 200 steps along the trail and also benches where you can sit down, relax, and enjoy the scenery. Halfway to the sea, you will find an angle equipped with a shower amid the rocks. Once you have arrived at sea level, you will see a concrete platform where you can sunbathe and from which you can jump into the water. You will also find a natural pool formed by sea water which runs into a bowl-shaped area among rocks. Even your kids will be able to swim in the place. The garden and the terrace In front of Villa Geraldina, you will find a small garden with a spectacular view of the sea. One part of the garden is shaded by a large olive tree. In the garden, you will see two tables with chairs and a small barbecue available for you to enjoy outdoor meals. The other part of the garden has the shape of a triangular terrace, and it is turned towards the sea just like the prow of a ship: as you lean, all your eyes will see is the blue of the sea and the sky! And if you look down below you, you will be able to see the waves caressing the rocks, hear their sounds, and feel their perfume. By looking to the side, you will be able to enjoy the view of a wide and picturesque stretch of coast which consists of the villages of Praiano and Capo di Conca dei Marini. An umbrella and some deck chairs are placed right in front of the sea and all the scenery: that will be your favorite place to relax outdoors! The house The house is one storey-high. You will step into the living-room straight from the garden. The living-room is a large room illuminated by a high arched patio door through which you can see a splendid view of the sea even from the inside. Near the patio door, you will find a couch and two armchairs, and further ahead, there is the dining table. In the living-room, you will also have the television, cd and dvd player, some fans, and the telephone. Near the living-room there is small but well-equipped kitchen, where you will find a four-burner stove, an oven, a fridge with a freezer, a washing machine, microwave oven and small electrical appliances. A small corridor separates the living-room from the main double bedroom and the main bathroom. This bedroom is spacious and features a window with a magnificent view of the sea. In the bathroom you will find a bathtub which has also a shower above it. You can reach the two other bedrooms straight from the living-room. Both bedrooms are quite small. In one, you will find a bed which is 140 cm (about 55 inches) large. This bedroom has a window overlooking the living-room and a bathroom with shower inside. The other bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, which allow four people to sleep in the room. This bedroom has a window overlooking the garden. Villa Geraldina features furnishings which are well cared for, complete, bright, and pleasant. The floor is in hand-painted ceramics, which is a splendid sample of the typical artifact of the Amalfi Coast. The beach The closest beach is the charming beach of Marina di Praia, situated in a point where a small valley dug by the erosion meets, among the high rocks, a sea of the colour of the emerald. You can walk there along a tract of the coastal road, and then taking a "scalinatella" that will take you to the Saracen watch tower by the sea. From there you will be able to take a charming downhill pedestrian alley, cut into the rock, sheer above the sea, which will take you to the beach. Along the walk you will find a couple of small and characteristic cafes and restaurants, open in the good season, where you will be able to have breakfast or dine on the rocks above the sea. This same beach can also be reached by car or by bus. On this beach you will be able to practice several activities, rent boats and board small boats that will take you to swim in fascinating inlets of the coast, that can only be reached by boat.
