It features a shared terrace, swimming-pool, and garden, all with a wonderful view of the valley. It is equipped with a satellite-dish TV and parking space. Villa Floriana D has a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a living-room with a double divan bed and a kitchenette, and a large terrace. The place Villa Floriana is a beautiful villa built as a vacation home. It features terraces facing the sun and the wide scenery of the valley and the hills. It is at about 400 meters (about 1,312 feet) of altitude in a prominent position on the slope of a hill overlooking the valley of Valdinievole, formed by the river Arno. The villa is in the middle of a small “fraction-town” of San Baronto. You will have restaurants and shops at just a few steps away. You will be on the hills of Montalbano, not far from the sea. Only 40 km (about 25 miles) away, you will find the small town of Viareggio, famous for its splendid beaches. The scenery around the villa is one rich in hills, with vineyards covering the lower areas, olive groves on the slopes, and woods of chestnuts and oak trees on the top. The Chianti wine of Montalbano is produced in the area and there are several wine cellars around. Amidst the green, you will see elegant villas and beautiful farms which offer hospitality to tourists: the area boasts many trails and cycling paths. You will be close to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, and San Gimignano: you can even search for the cities or art of Tuscany and also its beautiful castles and historical hamlets on convenient daily visits or excursions. The swimming pool At Villa Floriana you will have a shared 12 x 6 meter (about 39 x 20 feet) swimming-pool available. The swimming-pool is placed in a terraced land on prominent position. It is framed by the woods on its background and by the valley right in front. Around the swimming-pool you will find a large sun-drenched area furnished with umbrellas and sun loungers. The swimming pool is caressed by the sun from sunrise, above the hill, to sunset, over the valley. The swimming-pool is open from the first of May until the 30th of October. The house and its terraces Villa Floriana D is on the second floor, and you reach it with an elevator. The apartment has two patio doors leading to a large terrace, shared with another close apartment, similar to Villa Floriana D. On the terrace you will find a table with chairs reserved to you and your children’s plays: little tables, benches, and chairs for kids, see-saws, and small wooden toys. The terrace is partially shaded by a masonry cover, rendering it a perfect place for your children to play while you watch them even from inside the apartment. From the terrace you have direct access to the area where there is the swimming-pool by climbing an outdoor staircase of about 20 steps. The living-room is furnished with a table with chairs, a double divan bed, a telephone, a satellite-dish TV, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-electric-burner stove and a fridge. The living-room communicates with the double bedroom, which has the bathroom with shower inside. The apartment is completely furnished, well-cared for in details, elegant, and cozy. At Villa Floriana you will have a shared laundry room available. Nearby tourist attractions During your stay at Villa Floriana, you will be in a territory whose history dates back to the ancient Romans and which has preserved, since the year One Thousand, historical castles, churches, villas and palaces rich in master pieces, all to be absolutely visited. You will also be near the small town of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. You will be in the area where the Chianti wine is produced. And as an addition to all the cultural visits, don’t forget to stop at the beautiful wine cellars of the area while taking the “Strada del Vino” (Road of the Wine). Don’t miss out on having lunch in one of the characteristic trattorias, often attended by local people and where you will taste the genuine Tuscan cuisine! A few feet away from the house you will find restaurants, shops, and the bus stop of the shuttle which goes to Pistoia. Pistoia is 12 km (about 7.5 miles) away from the villa. In Pistoia you can take trains to Florence. In case you feel like enjoying some thermal spa, 20 km (about 12 miles) away you will find the famous thermal baths of Montecatini. In addition, Lucca is 40 km (about 25 miles) away, San Gimignano is also 40 km (about 25 miles) away, Florence is 45 km (about 28 miles) away, Volterra, the city of the Etruscans, is 45 km (about 28 miles) away, Pisa is 60 km (about 37 miles) away, and Siena is 70 km (about 43.5 miles) away. You will be able to easily visit the great artistic and historical attractions of Tuscany and also go on excursions to the sea, as the beautiful and famous beaches of Viareggio are only 40 km (about 25 miles) away.
