It is surrounded by a land rich in cultivations of vineyards and olive groves. The house is actually part of a farm where the Chianti wine and extra-virgin olive oil are produced. The villa, from above, dominates the vast valley where Florence lies. There is a 300-square-meter (about 3,229 square feet) private garden where there is also the swimming-pool. The owners live in a villa right next door, and they are available to assist you in case you need with all their discretion. . The house Villa Gentile is a rustic house in stone and bricks which has kept itself intact through years of history, from past times up to our present moment. And it has not been restored to tourist purposes either. Even its interior and the division of rooms still maintain the original distribution. Original and age-old are also the beautiful floor in terracotta brick tiles and the vaulted ceilings with brick roof tiles and wooden joists. Ground floor On the ground floor there are the wine cellars, where the owners of the house still keep the wine in wooden barrels and the olive oil in old terracotta jars. A large room on the ground floor, which features brick vaults and is divided by arches, once being used as a place to fix agricultural tools, has been turned into a pleasant covered living area to the guests of the villa. The room is decorated with age-old rural tools and furnished with a couch, armchairs, a table with chairs, and a barbecue. This room leads to the garden and the swimming-pool. First floor The residential area of the villa is on the first floor, and you can reach it after climbing a 13-step staircase. All the rooms are spacious and furnished with family antique furniture. In one side you will have the living area, which consists of a living-room with an age-old fireplace in the middle. Near the fireplace you will find a couch, armchairs a satelite TV, and a double divan bed that sleeps two people. The living-room communicates with the kitchen, where there is also a dining table. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, a microwave, a kettle, an american style coffee maker, a fridge with freezer, and a dishwasher. There is also a washing machine in a laundry room. You reach the bedrooms through a large room which is like an antechamber, furnished with a round table, chairs, and armchairs. The bedrooms are spacious. Two are double rooms while the other is a twin bedroom. They have windows overlooking the countryside. It is possible to add two additional sleeping places either in the bedrooms or in the antechamber. There are two bathrooms. One is equipped with a bathtub and shower taps, while the other is a wet room (open shower area). The garden and the swimming pool In front of the house you will find a large fenced-in lawn reserved to the guests of the villa. Therein you will see an above-ground 9 x 5 meters (29.5 x 16.4 feet) swimming-pool, which is open from the first day of May until half October. Next to the swimming-pool, you will find umbrellas, deck chairs, tables, and chairs. A barbecue is available as well.
