Holiday Home Description

Casa Chicca is a small 35-square-meter (about 377 square feet) cottage which sleeps two people. It features a 30-square-meter (about 323 square feet) terrace from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and the coast.

There is a double bedroom, a small living-room with a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.

Casa Chicca is situated in the heart of Praiano’s pedestrian precinct, a few steps from St. Luke’s Square and the Cathedral of the same name. You arrive there by going down a short stairway which, when viewed from the square, gives the impression of plunging into the sea.

The house is part of the old residential Praiano; made up of small white houses placed along the sloping hills that descend steeply to the sea. Nearly all of the buildings are surrounded by small flower gardens or vegetable patches and are linked to each other by characteristic paths and stone stairways; there is peace, silence and harmony, and the air is full of the scent of lemons. There is only one adjective to describe a place like this: charming!

Casa Chicca is surrounded by a small rustic garden. It also has a 30-square-meter (320 square feet) terrace high over the garden so as to enjoy, from everywhere, the beautiful view of the see and sky framed by green fruit trees.

You step onto a terrace through two patio doors: one in the living-room and the other in the bedroom. The small living-room is gracious: the floor is in glossy blue terracotta and the room also features a divan, a dining-table, and a kitchenette.

The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, a fridge, and a washing machine. The living-room communicates with the bathroom with shower and the bedroom. The bedroom has a patio door overlooking the terrace and through which you can see the sea.

The terrace is spacious and sun-drenched. It overlooks the sea and the coast. It is partially shaded by a pergola of lemons. Right below the terrace there is a small orchard with fruit trees which you can reach in case you want to pick some seasonal fruits straight from the tree.

On the terrace you will find two deck chairs, a small barbecue, and a table with chairs.

Casa Chicca is a great place to stay if you are looking for the authentic spell of the Amalfi Coast and want to be just a step away from the chaotic tourist life of the more crowded areas.

Shops and restaurants are at 100 meters (110 yards). The well-known tourist spots of the coast are easily reached since just a few steps from the house you will be able to board the local bus which, from March to November, connects Praiano and the nearby beach of Praia (3 km, 2 miles) and Positano (6 km, 3.5 miles).

The local bus will also take you to the bus stop where you can board the Sita bus to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento, from where you can then proceed to Pompeii, Paestum, Naples and so on.

The ferry to Capri, Sorrento and Salerno can be boarded in Amalfi (8 km, 5 miles) and in Positano.

In addition, for mountain hiking enthusiasts, one can easily reach the famous trail running through the mountains of the Amalfi Coast amid cliffs and breathtaking views. Due to its extraordinary beauty, such path is called “Sentiero degli Dei” (Path of the Gods).

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Casa Chicca the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 100, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
