Appartamento Lungomare A is a gracious 50-square-meter (about 538 square feet)
apartment by the sea which sleeps four people. It features two balconies with a
wonderful view of the sea and the coast. It is 10 meters (about 33 feet) away
from the sea and 20 meters (about 66 feet) away from the beach.
The apartment is located in the center of Santa Maria di Castellabate. It has a
double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a living-room with divan beds, and a
kitchenette.
The place
Appartamento Lungomare A is located in a three-storey small building by the
seafront of Santa Maria di Castellabate in the historical and tourist heart of
the town. The building is part of a short row of four or five small historical
buildings lined up in front of the sea. Just a few feet away from the place the
road ends and we have the beginning of an arch-shaped long beach.
The apartment faces the sea and its back looks out on the verdant hill of
Castellabate. A few feet away from the house are bars with tables outdoor during
spring/summer, restaurants, and shops. All shopping streets and strolling areas
are easily reached on foot.
You do not need a car during your stay at Appartamento Lungomare A, but in case
you have one, you can park it near the house.
The beach
A few feet away from Appartamento Lungomare A you will find the beginning of a
beautiful golden sand beach which stretches along the arch of the small bay of
Santa Maria di Castellabate for a mile or so. The coast framing the beach is
covered in the bright green of pine trees which sweetly descend towards the blue
of the sea. Far in the horizon you see the outline of Punta Licosa and its
homonym islet on one side and the beautiful golden buildings of the old hamlet
on another.
The water of the sea is clean and transparent, and the sandy bottom is shallow,
allowing even your kids to easily go swimming in the place.
In Santa Maria di Castellabate you will find rather mild weather which will
enable you to enjoy the beach and go for a swim from spring to mid fall. You can
enjoy the beach free of charge, but you can also use the services of beach
establishments in case you want to. You will find services of bar and
restaurants, rental of sun loungers, umbrellas, and also small boats.
The house and the balconies
Appartamento Lungomare A is on the first floor. You can reach it after climbing
about 20 steps. You will enter a bright living-room featuring two balconies. All
you will see is the sea and the sky even from inside the apartment.
Both balconies are big enough to have two chairs where you can sit outdoors and
enjoy the blue of the close sea and the wide skyline embracing the whole scenery
of the coast. The balconies are sun drenched until sunset, but in case you want
to be in the shade, you can pull down the large awning available.
In the living-room you will have two couches which also offer two additional
sleeping places, a table with chairs, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is
equipped with a four-burner stove, a fridge with freezer, and an oven.
From the living-room you can ascend to the double bedroom and the bathroom with
shower. The bedroom has a window with a beautiful view of the verdant hill of
Castellabate.
Nearby tourist attractions
Staying at Appartamento Lungomare A you will enjoy the sun, the beach, the sea,
the green of the pine trees, the tranquillity of a small and graceful tourist
spot. You will be able to see how Italians really live, and enjoy the good local
cuisine, based on fish and on the genuine products of the Cilento National Park,
such as mozzarella cheese, olive oil and wine.
The closest train station is Agropoli, at 14 km (9 miles). In the area you will
find the tourist ports of San Marco (at 4 km, 2.5 miles) and of Agropoli, and it
is possible, during the summer, to board ferries to the Amalfi Coast, to Capri
and to other location along the Cilento Coast, as well as to take boat trips,
fishing trips or diving trips.
In the summer time, in the villages along the coast it is possible to attend a
large number of "sagre" (local outdoor festivals with homemade dishes and live
music). Pubs, restaurants and discos stay open until very late at night.
If you are a nature lover, it is possible to book guided hikes along naturalist,
historical-cultural or gastronomic trails with the Cilento National Park guides.
