Holiday Home Description

Villa Isotta is a splendid and luminous two-story villa set into the cliff, sheer above the sea and with direct access to the sea. It sleeps eight people. From Villa Isotta you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi. Villa Isotta is 150 square meters (1615 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, direct access to the beach and to the sea, two spacious private terraces with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.

You will be roughly 1 km (0.6 miles) from the center of Positano, where you will find restaurants, the shops, public transportation, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the closest restaurant a few meters (feet) away, the stop for the SITA bus Amalfi - Sorrento line at 150 meters (490 feet) and the closest beach directly below you (you will reach it using an elevator). You will reach Villa Isotta from the parking area using an elevator and then along a short private walkway that includes approximately 15 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Isotta. If you do have one, you will be able to park it on the premises, for a fee, in a reserved parking space.

Villa Isotta is built on a stretch of high coast located between the state road and the sea. It is nestled within the green of lush Mediterranean vegetation and the blue of the sea and the sky.

Villa Isotta has enthralling terraces with spectacular views of the sea and the coast, whose different levels of scenery lie right before the living-room, all the bedrooms, and around the swimming-pool. It seems as if all elements were there as if waiting for those guests whose eyes, yours, know how to embrace the beauty and joy of such spectacle of nature, which brings the blue of the sea, the sky, and the incomparable scenery of the coast. Adding to such unrepeatable beauty are red Bougainvillea climbing up stone walls from terracotta vases, lush crowns of green pine trees standing in the garden, and rocks seen down below…

When you step onto its terraces, you will see stretched out before you nothing but the sun, the sky and the sea. To the horizon on your right, looking out over the sea, you can trace the “M”-shaped outline of the islands known as “Li Galli," and, to the left, the magnificent scenery of a stretch of coastline that is among the most fascinating areas of the Amalfi Coast.

On this side, the coast is made up of small promontories, on which small clusters of white houses are scattered, interspersed with enchanting inlets and small beaches, in a half-moon shape carved out of the richly-verdant coastline.

If you look down below, while leaning against the railing of your terrace, you will see a stretch of verdant coast which seems to plunge into the sea. You will feel privileged to be at the heart of such beauty—it will lift your heart and infuse you with the sheer joy of being alive!

Best of all, you will carry this feeling in your heart well beyond the end of your holiday.

The sunset and the evening that follows hold still more fascinating moments in store for you. From the terraces of Villa Isotta, when evening falls, you will see the moon rise, enormous at first as it peers above the coastline, then becoming smaller and brighter as it climbs higher in the sky and reflects on the sea. By this time, the coast and the sea are full of twinkling lights.

When the moon is full, the spectacle is incomparable—and you can enjoy it from your discreetly-illuminated terrace while dining under the stars.

The complex is made up of vacation villas that fan along the back of a cape that overhangs the sea. The complex extends across a few acres of coastline, and is situated at one of the most panoramic and strikingly beautiful points of the coast.

Slightly above the complex, is the level of the coast road, and from here down to the sea there is a slope of about 200 meters (650 feet). Looking down from the road, you can see gardens set out on irregular terraces that hug the shape of the coastline, and then, further down towards the sea, the full luxury of the Mediterranean flowers and greenery. In the midst of these gardens, you can see here and there the terracotta-paved terraces of the villas with their sun-lounging beds and their urns overflowing with red bougainvillea.

The buildings are well hidden among the greenery, and all that can be seen either from above or from the sea are the terraces. The complex is made up of a number of vacation villas, each one completely independent of the others and hidden in the greenery. Access to this entire area is reserved to the guests of the villas.

The complex has various communal services available, in particular a elevator that will bring you from the coast road and set you down just a few meters from the houses, and an elevator which will carry you between the different villas and the beach. The beach is private and shared with the other guests of the complex, and there you'll find a reserved area exclusively for you.

Direct Access to the Sea

From the property you will have a direct access to the sea and to a beach, partly gravel and partly rocky. You will reach it by way of an elevator. The area is equipped with sun umbrellas and deck chairs. The access to the sea is shared with the other guests staying at the complex. The facilities are available from the beginning of May until mid-October.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is 3 meters (10 feet) large by 8 meters (26 feet) long, from 1 meter (3.3 feet) to 1.8 meters (6 feet) deep. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast. The pool is open from mid-May until mid-October.

Terrace 1

The first terrace is 150 square meters (1615 square feet) large. The terrace is equipped with masonry benches, as well as with tables, chairs, sun umbrellas and four sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.

Terrace 2

The second terrace is 50 square meters (540 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the first terrace going down eight steps. The terrace is equipped with long masonry benches, as well as with tables, chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.

Terrace 3

The third terrace is on the roof level. It is 140 square meters (1500 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by elegant pine trees and by a perfumed pergola. It is equipped with tables and chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.

Ground Floor

Living Room

The living room is paved with lucid sky-blue majolica tiles. The furnishings are elegant and bright, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include three sofas. The dining table can accommodate eight guests. In this room you will find a flat-screen satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through two French doors. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. Here you will also find a mini refrigerator.

Kitchen

The kitchen is well equipped, with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, an American-style refrigerator with ice-maker and an Italian-style coffee-maker. There is a table to seat four guests. The kitchen is also equipped with a large satellite television. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the first terrace. The room has a window with a view of the sea. The kitchen is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom

You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include a leather sofa. In this room you will find a large flat-screen satellite television. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the first terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. Here you will also find a mini refrigerator. The rental price includes: final cleaning; electricity; linens; towels; maid service from Monday to Saturday 3 hours each day; linens, changed mid-week.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Villa Isotta the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 500, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
