Villa Amica is a gracious 80-square-meter (about 861square feet) house which sleeps four people. It features a terrace and a small garden with a wide view of the sea and Positano. The villa is equipped with air-conditioning.

There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a large living-room, a kitchen and a laundry-room with WC.

Villa Amica is located in the historical area of Positano and in one of the most beautiful panoramic places of the town: the villa is an old house built attached to the middle part of that high rocky spur overlooking the sea and which seems to “sustain” the main and most picturesque part of Positano, photographed and printed in every postcard.

From every angle of the house you will enjoy a panorama of incredible beauty which consists of the sea, the beach, and part of Positano, all right below you.

In order to reach the villa from the main street of Positano, where you will see the stop of the local bus, you will have to take a pedestrian street consisting of about 70 steps. You will then reach the secondary entrance of the villa. If you want to reach the main entrance, you will have to climb other 50 steps. 150 meters (about 492 feet) away, you will find the first restaurants, and 200 meters (about 656 feet) away there is a food shop.

You don’t need a car during your stay at Villa Amica, but in case you have one, you can book a pay parking space in a nearby garage.

Villa Amica has an enchanting terrace overlooking the sea and also a small garden. The terrace lies in front of the living-room and kitchen, and it is embellished by the crown of an orange tree planted in the garden below.

In front of you are the sun, the sea, and a fascinating view of a side of the bay of Positano which is called “L’Incanto” (The Enchantment) due to its romantic beauty. By looking below, you will see the picturesque beach of Positano and the sparkling and colorful majolica dome of the Cathedral. To enjoy such nature spectacle as if in the first row of a theater, you will have a table with chairs and deck chairs available on the terrace.

From the terrace you will be able to reach the little garden below by climbing down a few steps. You will find a table with chairs placed under a large white umbrella and also a barbecue. You will soon realize that such green angle is just perfect and delightful to spend time outdoors, in front of the same enchanting view seen from the terrace.

Villa Amica is an age-old and two-storey house with high vaulted ceilings. It has been carefully restored, embracing all the fascination of the old houses of Positano.

The entrance door faces a picturesque and very narrow pedestrian street which is actually a stairway. On the upper floor of the house you will find two bedrooms, both featuring windows with an extraordinary view of the sea and Positano.

One bedroom has a double bed while the other has two single beds. The two single beds can be placed one next to the other so as to have a double bed. An indoor staircase communicates the bedrooms with the living-room. The bathroom is right by the staircase. The bathroom is spacious and well-decorated with vivid local terracotta tiles. It features a large shower.

The living-room displays high vaulted ceilings. Here you will find the dining table. At Villa Amica you will find a personal computer and a wireless Internet DSL connection. If you have a wi-fi laptop you will be able to connect to the Internet. In one nook of the living-room, you will find a large and comfortable kitchen equipped with a four-burner stove, a large fridge with freezer, an oven, a microwave oven, and a dishwasher.

From the living-room you can reach the terrace through two patio doors. On the terrace you will also find a gracious room which is equipped with a washing machine, a WC, and a sink. This small room has a window which frames a truly fascinating view of Positano: as soon as I arrived in the place, I thought to myself: “I am in the laundry-room which overlooks the world’s most gorgeous panorama!”

Villa Amica has been pleasantly decorated with vivid terracotta tiles, and its furnishings are bright, elegant, and complete.

If you want to reach the beach from Villa Amica, it is possible and convenient to take the local minibus which runs constantly within and around Positano.

At least once, if your knees allow you to, take some time and do not miss the chance to descend towards the beach on foot.

You will have to go along a path which unravels through old pedestrian streets and little narrow stairways enclosed by the walls of the houses which here and there unveil bits of the sea scenery. You will walk inside this little town which is often gazed at by fascinated tourists from the sea.

This will be the best way to go on a search for the most authentic aspects of Positano… and of course, once you have arrived at the beach, you can dive into the sea, or along with the crowds of tourists, after a deserved stop to enjoy some ice-cream sitting in a bar in front of the sea, you can go back to villa comfortably sitting on a bus!

While staying at Villa Amica you will be in an elegant and tranquil location, as well as in a central position from which to visit Sorrento and its coast as well as the Amalfi Coast.

You can participate in the intense tourist life of Positano, with its meeting places, shopping streets and restaurants.

From the quay of Positano you will be able to board ferries and mini-cruises by day and night to visit the coast, the islands of Capri and Ischia, Amalfi, Sorrento, Naples, Paestum, and the coast of the National Park of Cilento.

From Villa Amica, those who like hiking and climbing will be able to easily reach the famous trail along the ridge of the mountains that overlook the Amalfi Coast. For its extraordinary beauty, made of precipices and breathtaking views, the trail is called “Sentiero degli Dei”: Path of the Gods.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Villa Amica the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 200, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
