Apartment Gabriele is a bright 70-square-meter (about 754 square feet)
apartment with a terrace which sleeps five people. It is located few meters away
from Piazza San Pietro (Saint Peter’s Square) and the Vatican. The apartment is
on the third floor and served by an elevator.
There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a living-room with a kitchenette, a
terrace furnished with a table and chairs, and a bathroom with a bathtub and
shower taps.
The place
The apartment is on the third floor of an elegant building constructed in 1950
and served by an elevator. The building is located on a peaceful and slightly
uphill street along a wall built 2000 years ago by the Emperor Aurelius. Such
wall currently delimits the Giardini (Gardens) of Granicolo. Even the building
which houses the Apartment Gabriele is surrounded by a small condominium garden
boasting high trees.
The street next to the palace hardly has any traffic. You easily park therein,
and finding parking space is not difficult at all. You will also be able to reserve a paid parking space in the building indoor car park, if you wish. The area is incredibly breezy
and peaceful, especially if we think we are located in the heart of a great
metropolis such as Rome. Close to the apartment, there are neither shops nor
crowds of tourists: the streets with shops, bars and restaurants with small
tables outdoors are 300 meters (about 984 feet) ahead.
You will really be in the heart of the city of Rome: by walking a few steps only,
you will find yourself before the colonnades of the Basilica di San Pietro
(Saint Peter’s Basilica). Actually, if you’re in the beginning of the street,
you will already be able to admire Michelangelo’s large dome overlooking the
roofs around.
Near the apartment, in case you feel like going for relaxing strolls amidst the
green, you will find two of the most beautiful green areas of Rome: the
Gianicolo and the Park of Villa Pamphili.
The area is well-served by public means of transportation, which will enable you
to easily reach several places in the city.
The house
At Apartment Gabriele you will find a spacious living-room which features a
large patio door leading to the terrace. The terrace is furnished with a table
and chairs. You will also find a pleasant angle where you can have meals
outdoor: you will have a view of the condominium garden and the ancient Mura
Aureliane (Aurelius Walls), which support the gardens of the Gianicolo. In the
living-room, you will find a TV room with armchairs, an area with a dining table,
and an angle apart which has a comfortable kitchenette.
The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, a microwave oven,
a fridge with freezer, and a washing machine. The two bedrooms have large
windows overlooking the walls of the Gianicolo. You will find a double bed in
bedroom and two single beds in the other. The single beds can be placed together
in order to have a double bed. Another single bed can be added to the rooms upon
request. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and shower taps. You will have
two fans at the apartment.
The furnishings are well-cared for, elegant, and complete.
