Villa Dorotea A is an elegant 170-square meter (about 1,830 square feet)
apartment which sleeps four people in the center of Capri and 200 meters (656
feet) from the famous Piazzetta. It has a private terrace, and a shared garden
with a swimming-pool for kids.
Villa Dorotea has one double bedroom with a bathroom with bathtub and one double
bedroom with a bathroom with shower. There are also two large living-rooms with
couches, one dining-room, and one kitchen.
The Place
Villa Dorotea is an age-old villa situated in the heart of the historical center
of Capri. You can reach the house on foot from the famous Piazzetta if taking
the characteristic pedestrian streets. You will arrive in front of a beautiful
wrought iron gate which opens to a long white colonnade supporting a wisteria
pergola. The colonnade leads you to the entrance of the villa through a garden
rich in trees and flowers. In the center of the garden, in the middle of a
beautiful green lawn, you will find a playground for kids which includes a
2x4-meter (6 x 13 feet) swimming-pool. In a secluded area, there is a gazebo
furnished with tables and chairs. The garden and its facilities are available to
all the guests of Villa Dorotea. Villa Dorotea consists of three apartments and
one studio apartment.
The house
By climbing five or six steps from the garden, you will reach the terrace, which
gives access to Villa Dorotea A. The terrace, furnished with a table and chairs,
leads to a gracious room with sofas and armchairs. This room leads to another
living area where there is also the dining-room and the TV room, furnished with
couches and armchairs.
All rooms display high vaulted ceilings, typical of houses in Capri, and are
completely furnished with fine antique objects and furniture. The dining-room
has a large window with a gorgeous view of the green areas in the garden. A
corridor communicates with the kitchen and the sleeping area.
The double bedroom has a bathroom with bathtub inside. Not only does the twin
bedroom have a bathroom inside equipped with a shower, but it also has a patio
door which takes to a small outdoor area. The sleeping area is completely and
elegantly furnished.
The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped: a four-burner stove, an oven, a
fridge with freezer, a dishwasher, and a washing-machine.
The Beaches
If you want to go to the beach, all you have to do is take the cable car in the
Piazzetta in Capri; you will arrive in Marina Grande only a few minutes later.
You can also reach the wonderful Faraglioni beach while pleasantly going for a
three-kilometer (1.8 mile) stroll. While walking, you can admire a panorama of
uncomparable beauty.
Don’t miss a chance to discover small gravel beaches enclosed by the so many
rocks along the coast of the island. You will meet places which are like angles
of heaven with the green of the Mediterranean vegetation and the deep blue of
the sea…

a few steps away from Piazzetta, which is the tourist heart of Capri. You will

to.
From the port of Marina Grande, several ferries, hydrofoils, and minicruises
leave everyday. It is a fun and fascinating way to reach by sea places along the
Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Naples and other islands of the Gulf. Visiting the
archaeological ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum is also convenient and easy.
Not to be missed is the ride around the island by boat and the visit to the
Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto)!
