Villa Angiolina has been built taking away the space from the rock, almost on top of the high cliff sheer above the sea that encloses the tiny bay of the beach called "Praia". 

From the beach, on the bottom, if you look up at the sky, you will be able to spot the two white columns of the terrace of Villa Angiolina on top of the vegetation that grows on the cliff.

The other way around, if you stand on the terrace you will see the cliff below you like if you were on top of a skyscraper made of rock and covered by the thriving Mediterranean vegetation. It is especially charming to see, vertically below you, the small cape where the ancient circular Saracen Tower stands. The tower was built a thousand years ago as a defence for the small bay of Praia. The sea in the inlet guarded by the tower is deep blue, and it is spotted with the blob of colour of the small boats that are moored there.

If you let your sight wander, you will see a wide horizon of sky, sea and coast, up to the characteristic cape of Conca dei Marini, which divides Praiano from Amalfi.

The air is clean and perfumed by flowers, the view is a continuous spell, ever-changing as the hours of the day and of the night go by.

So much beauty will convey to you that joy of life and to be right there that everybody calls the “magic” of the Divina Costiera, and which will make you happy of having chosen this place for your vacation.

The terrace of Villa Angiolina, with its elegant arched roof, its white columns, the flowers, the elegant furnishing, is a perfect framework to enjoy so much beauty in peace and relax. It is indeed a nice place to spend your holidays, a place that is worth to be discovered, even if you will have to walk and to climb some steps to get there. As a matter of fact, the villa is at the top of the village of Praiano, in a pedestrian precinct. To reach it you will have to walk for approximately 200 meters (220 yards) and to climb 160 steps. It is a walk that will allow you to discover an authentic and untouched corner of the Amalfi Coast, one of those that made the area deserve the title of “World Heritage Site” awarded by UNESCO. Indeed, this area has not been changed to please the masses of tourists, here you will not find shops but only authentic locals, which will welcome you with courtesy and liking. Don’t be surprised if the people that you meet in the street will say hello even if they don’t know you! Just say hello to them and smile back!

The closest beach is the beautiful beach of Marina di Praia, situated in a natural scenery of extraordinary beauty. You will find it at the feet of two tall rocky walls, and it can be reached descending a 'scalinatella' (a stairway cut into the cliff) that leads to the Saracen Tower by the sea, and hence walking along a downhill pedestrian alley that will take you straight to this enchanting beach, where the sea has emerald water. From this point, with short boat trips, you will also be able to visit the surrounding coastline, particularly the suggestive Suppraiano Grottos, and Africana Grotto. You will also be able to reach the beach taking a bus that, during the good season, stops every 20 minutes.

Since the villa is not easily reachable, we can not recommend it if you feel that climbing many steps might be difficult for you.
