Holiday Home Description

Casa Caterina is a house of 50 square meters (550 square feet) with a garden of 40 square meters (440 square feet) from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and Positano. The house is air-conditioned and is suitable for three people.

The house is situated in the centre of Positano and you reach it by using a characteristic 60-step stairway that goes down from the main street. The house is built in a style that is typical to Positano.

Once past the white wall and the wrought iron gate, which separates the house from the road, you will realise that you have arrived in a corner of paradise.

First, you enter into a delightful garden full of citrus trees. Their shiny leaves frame a fragment of the magical panorama of the sea, which includes a view of a group of small islands called “Li Galli.” A pretty lemon pergola shades the front of the house; under it, ready to welcome you, are two characteristic benches, a table and chairs, and sun beds.

The air is divinely lemon scented – this, along with the abundance of nature all around, creates an atmosphere of vitality and joy. You will feel happy to be exactly in this place and to have this magic in front of your eyes for the whole length of your holiday, and to hold it in your heart forever.

There are two French Doors that allow you to enter directly from the garden into the sitting room and bedroom. The sitting room has a kitchen area, a sofa, a T.V. and a table and chairs. The kitchen area is equipped with a cooker, an oven and a fridge/freezer. The bedroom contains a double bed, and the bathroom has a shower. An additional bed to sleep one guest can be placed in the living room, if requested. From the house you have a garden view. The house is furnished in a simple yet functional way. The house is an annexe of a small, appealing hotel, and you can take advantage of the hotel facilities for breakfast and other bar services. The garden is not entirely private as it is occasionally briskly crossed by the occupants of an adjacent apartment.

Shops and restaurants can be found within 50 meters (165 feet) from the house. Also at 50 meters (165 feet) there is a bus stop for local transport to the pedestrian precinct and also for the bus that goes to the other towns on the coast. You can also reach the Spiagga Grande, which is the main beach of Positano, from the Pedestrian Precinct.
A car is not necessary for your stay in Casa Caterina.

From the quay in Positano you can catch a ferry or a small cruiser to visit the islands of Capri and Ischia or the mainland towns of Amalfi, Sorrento and Naples.
The national bus service, SITA, links you via road to all the coastal towns and it is easy to reach Pompeii, Ercolano (Herculaneum), Paestum and the Palace of Caserta.

For those who love mountain walking it is easy to reach, from Casa Caterina, the famous trail, that takes you high over the mountains of the Amalfi Coast and which is known, due to its breathtaking views and extraordinary beauty, as “il Sentiero degli Dei” (The Pathway of the Gods).

The garden is not entirely private as it is occasionally briskly crossed by the occupants of an adjacent apartment. The house is furnished in a simple yet practical way. In the sitting room there is a sofa, T.V. and a dining table. The bathroom has a shower. The kitchen area is equipped with a cooker, an oven and fridge/freezer.
There are shops and restaurants at 50 meters (165 feet) away from the house and at the same distance there is a bus stop for Positano’s inner transport system. The beach is 1 km (roughly half a mile) away.

A 25% deposit is paid at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival at the property.

Upon arrival at Casa Caterina the property manager will ask you to pay a security deposit of EUR 150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
