Casa Raffaella is a welcoming independent house which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps two people. From Casa Raffaella you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi. Casa Raffaella is 60 square meters (645 square feet). It features a spacious private terrace with a view of the sea.
You will be in a pedestrian precinct, in the heart of Praiano, where you will find restaurants and the shops. You will find the stop for the SITA bus a few meters (feet) away and the closest beach at 3 km (roughly 1.86 miles). You will reach Casa Raffaella from the street level going down a flight of stairs (approximately 70 steps).
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Raffaella. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces).
Casa Raffaella is located in the heart of the pedestrian area of Praiano, just a few steps from the square of San Luca and from the cathedral which has the same name. It is an ancient building of the 17th century, which maintains the same original structure: from the main road you will descent 70 steps, and reach a welcoming white yard, from where you will enter the house.
The house is made of three rooms, which have the ancient high vaulted ceilings, characteristic of the local architecture. In the past centuries, the houses where built with vaulted ceilings and thick stone walls to keep them cool during the summer, with a sort of "natural" air conditioning. At Casa Raffaella, this system works just like it used to work 300 years ago, as nothing has changed since the house was built.
The house is fresh, airy and luminous, with its white walls, which stand against the blue of the sky and of the sea, and its splendid terrace, which extends towards the charming view of the coast of Amalfi. When you lean from the terrace of Casa Raffaella, you will see a mix of green citrus groves and flowered gardens, with small white buildings scattered here and there, which drops steeply down to the sea. Your sight will be able to embrace the promontory of Capo di Conca and Positano. You will be able to relax and enjoy the sun on the terrace in privacy, since you will only find a garden with tangerine trees right next to you.
All around, scattered along the sloping side of the hill, there are other houses and villas, which can be reached only through the characteristic pedestrian alleys and stone "scalinatelle" (narrow streets with steps): the air is perfumed with the scent of lemon flowers, and with peace, silence and harmony. The only way to define this place is: charming!
Casa Raffaella is a great place to stay if you are looking for the authentic spell of the Amalfi Coast, and want to be just a step out of the chaotic tourist life of the more crowded areas.
Terrace
The terrace is 20 square meters (215 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.
Living Room
You will be able to enter the living room from the entrance hall. The floor is paved with hand-made majolica tiles, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. The furnishings are classic and welcoming, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include a sofa and two armchairs. In this room you will find a television. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room through an arched opening. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. There is a table to seat four guests.
Bedroom
You will be able to enter the bedroom from the kitchen. The furnishings are classic. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace through a French door.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower.
Laundry room
In the laundry room you will find a washing machine at your disposal.
