What guests of Casa Rica B say![]() Elaine Seymour, Asheville, North Carolina, United States September 17, 2011 - The views from the balcony and patio garden are unbeatable. The villa is actually not in Positano, but in Montepertuso which is several miles uphill. This is actually a bonus. The location is peaceful and attractive and the village (a short work further along the road) has an excellent store and three or four restaurants -- two of which we found excellent. You have to walk 99 steps down to the villa (and hence back up to the road). This makes it unsuitable for anyone with a disability. I walk with a stick and found it manageable, but some people would not. The parking space is secure and we left the car there all the time, preferring to use the hourly bus rather than dice with death with the aggressive, competitive, and rude local drivers on the narrow winding roads. You can get around very well on buses and on the public ferries (to Capri, Amalfi etc) at reasonable prices. The villa itself is comfortable but not fancy. It's built into a hill so the two bedrooms at the back have no windows. Everything provided was fine. The only (small) additional things needed are some wine glasses, mugs, and tea towels. The owner is very helpful. Our comment: A reminder to our guests going to private homes: do not hesitate and ask for anything that you might find helpful during your stay. You can ask the owners directly, or you can contact our staff and let us do the job for you. Property owners are eager to please, but occasionally some items might be missing. Other items, such as coffee mugs, are not really part of the Italian culture (I am sure the house had espresso cups!) and might not be available "by default". In both cases, if the owner knows they will do their best to please you and will not be bothered by the request. If you don't feel like asking them directly, ask us instead -- we are here to help!![]() Samara Quirke, Ferny Hills, Australia September 10, 2011 - We loved Casa Rica B. It had everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The owner is so helpful. The view is spectacular. If we ever come back to Positano, and hopefully we do, we would definitely book Casa Rica B again. We love you Summer In Italy! Thank you for all your help. Your communication is excellent and service is exceptional. You made our trip easy to organise and we appreciate it so much. Thanks again. ![]() Vern Ledlow, Mississauga, Canada July 16, 2011 - We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rica B. If you have a car, this is a terrific apartment since parking is included. Parking is hard to come by in Positano area. It is in a very convenient location to several of the best restaurants in the Positano area, because it is so high up in the hills, close to Montepertuso. Taking the bus was convenient from the bus stop just up the road. Mr. Raffaele, the apartment owner, was very helpful and accommodating. The view from the apartment balcony was incredible. The apartment was perfect for my wife and I and our 2 teenage kids. Would definitely recommend it to families that don't mind stairs. An excellent experience. Thanks for all your help! Marizanne Badenhorst, Caledon, South Africa June 18, 2011 - We had a wonderful week at Casa Rica B. The apartment was just what we needed - big enough for the 4 of us, with a balcony and view we loved. The apartment was clean and spacious and extras like the towels provided and the wifi was great to have. Mr. Raffaele [the owner] was very friendly and helpful and helped all 4 girls with our bags down all those steps (was much appreciated) and even offered to help with parking. We rented a car for the week, and appreciated it that we did not have to go through the Positano Town traffic to get to the apartment. Having a reserved parking space was a welcome thought when driving home and struggling to find parking in town. The washing machine facility enabled us to have clean clothes for our second week at another destination without the need for hand washing - an added bonus! We took the steps down to the beach in Positano (about 40 minutes walk), and then the bus back up to the apartment which worked perfectly, with the bus stop just outside the Casa Rica gate. All those steps also helped with the guilty feeling of all the gelato we had. The Restaurant Donna Rosa in Montepertuso (10 min walk) was a great fine dining experience and definitely worth recommending. I will recommend Summer in Italy website and services to all my friends - we enjoyed the website. Sharon Avigad, Jerusalem, Israel May 29, 2011 - We really enjoyed it Casa Rica B. It was nice to have the quiet of not being in town, and overlooking everything. I would recommend having a car here and not to be dependent on the bus service. The kitchen was very well equipped and the landlord was very helpful and kind. We aren't night persons, so when the sun went down we were happy to cook our dinner and sit on the terrace and watch the lights below. I will recommend you to our friends.
