What guests of Appartamento Sirio say Claire Frazer, Leeds, United Kingdom August 2, 2008 - We liked the apartment - it was as we expected. Basic equipment in the kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, aircon worked well, it was clean and tidy. Be prepared to walk up and down a bit to reach the only local alimentari/shop, and public transport to Sorrento or Positano, which may be onerous in the heat of the wonderful summer sun. Otherwise, get taxis, and budget for this! e.g. fixed price 35 euros one-way to Sorrento or back. Although the location was not easily on a bus route, we had excellent help from Mr Antonino's sister in driving us around. We managed to communicate in spite of neither parties speaking the other's language. Without her cheerful help, we may have felt a bit stranded!! But we did enjoy ourselves very much, and really loved the beautiful long views over to the sea, and legendary sunsets. On the final night we had a lovely meal at the Agriturismo behind the Apartment - couldn't have been more handy! If you need to be out of the crowds in summer, then this is a good apartment. The location is not the best either & quite a way from Sorrento. I also think the price of the apartment was very high for the location & size. Our week at Appartamento Sirio was incredibly beautiful and everything was fantastic, the apartment, the wonderful view also the owner was a very kind person and provides us with great services. The location of the residence is absolutely fantastic because it is just in the middle, between Positano and Sorrento and you could see on your left the golf of Naples and on the right the golf of Amalfi. Car is recommended but we did not rent one cause the roads are really dangerous in my opinion and you can easily make an accident if you don't know the road very good but public transportation is available and very easy. It was very easy to book with Summer in Italy , we exchanged some mails and we booked. They are very professional and very well organised. I congratulate them for this.
