What guests of Appartamento Ulisse say![]() Jack Wallace, Chesham, United Kingdom October 3, 2009 - Great location and stunning view. Swimming pool lovely. Easy walking distance to Atrani and Amalfi. Good service, thanks. ![]() Susan Zenthon, Poole, United Kingdom September 9, 2006 - Bigger than average apartment with a fantastic views. Unfortunately the apartment had no attached outdoor space to enjoy, although you were able to use the swimming pool/terrace. Staff were friendly and helpful although they spoke limited English. Nearest town of Atrani was unspoilt and had a genuine Italian feel to it. There was easy access to the other towns by bus, car or foot if energetic. We really enjoyed our week here. Our comment: Yes, it is indeed correct: there is no private outdoor area for Appartamento Ulisse (you will be able to use the shared outdoor areas, of course).Lesley Wilson, Caernarfon, United Kingdom August 19, 2006 - The apartment was clean and as described. Plenty of room for our group of four, 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 10. Excellent welcome and helpful manager. Location was certainly different. We didn't hire a car as we didn't fancy taking on Italian drivers and we found it was absolutely fine. We regularly walked the 300 steps into Atrani to buy supplies and eat out and we also walked the 15 minutes to Amalfi a couple of times. The ancient steps were fascinating taking you under the houses of Atrani and Amalfi. We also walked up to Ravello and found it well worth the climb. Particularly being able to spot our pool from the Villa in Ravello. Adele Silvester, Plumpton Green, United Kingdom August 12, 2006 - The location was excellent and the quality of the villa very good. The view from the swimming pool and from our apartment was exquisite. The setting in the valley and the view up to Ravello and down to Atrani were beautiful. Easy access to Atrani and Amalfi on foot were a real plus for evening promenades and meals. The trek back up hill kept us fit. We even walked to Ravello along the ancient pathway. The only downside was not having a proper balcony to enjoy the view of the sea but the large windows did enable us to see the view from our living room. Dave Wilkin, Godalming, United Kingdom July 22, 2006 - A super location midway up the valley between the less touristy coastal village of Atrani (10 mins max walk - down quite a few steps!) and a 5 mins drive up to Ravello. Atrani has its own distinct character and small beach. For an extra 5 mins walk there is a lovely cliff walk around the headland into Amalfi proper, were all the tourist facilities are (shops, boats to Capri etc are). We loved the church bells in the morning! The view from the living room balcony takes your breath away. The shared pool is fantastic and garden surroundings perched on the cliff side are excellently maintained, peaceful with spectacular views. The driveway off the main Atrani-Ravello road into the apartments involves a few tight bends as one descends to a small car park - not suitable for large cars (we had a Ford Focus - any larger would have been a challenge). Overall a very relaxing location - highly recommended - we will probably go back!! There are 7 reviews of Appartamento Ulisse, on 2 pages. You are reading page 1.
