What guests of Villa Mariapia A say![]() Kim Calder, St. Albert, Canada August 27, 2005 - We had a fantastic time at this villa. The location couldn't be better - the view from the terrace is absolutely spectacular. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace each evening as it got dark, watching the lights come on along the coastline and all the boats going by. My kids loved swimming off of the private platform and exploring the huge grotto right next to the property. The village is very quiet and friendly - the grocery store owner gave us a ride to and from his store the day we arrived. I'm glad we decided to stay here instead of in Positano, it was much quieter. The owners don't speak English very well but were very friendly and brought us a dish of fruit the day we arrived. There were several fantastic restaurants along the trail to the marina - fantastic views over the bay and reasonable prices. One piece of advice though - don't plan on getting to or from the villa by the SITA bus from Sorrento if you have a lot of luggage. The buses are usually jammed with three times as many people as they should have, and there is NO room for luggage or time to get on and off. Taxi from Sorrento is 60 to 75 euros - well worth it especially after a long day of travel. We also got a taxi to Naples from Praiano for 100 euros - drove us right to the train station in Naples and avoided the SITA bus and the Circumvesuviana train - both crowded, hot and little room for luggage. Your selection of villas/apartments was extensive and gave us a lot of choice. The location of Villa Mariapia A is absolutely fantastic, even better than I imagined. I appreciated the written info about Italy and what to expect when we arrived, facilities etc. ![]() Rossano Di Paolo, Niagara Falls, Canada August 13, 2005 - We had a great time, the view and access was excellent, although we must say stairs were a challenge, however it helped us to keep fit, especially after enjoying a good meal on the terrace. The owners were very hospitable, and friendly. The beach and town are convenient nearby. Parking in town is a challenge. It is best to walk or take the bus. We plan to return to the Amalfi Coast in the future and would recommend Villa Mariapia to anyone. We found everything as advertised in your website. There were no surprises, which made us feel good. The booking, and follow up we found it to be professional. Again thanks, and hope we can book with you a future vacation. ![]() Anitha Biligiri, San Jose, CA, United States June 11, 2005 - The views were fabulous. The house was lovely and spacious. The owners were very gracious and sweet. Maisie Matthews, Portsmouth, United Kingdom May 21, 2005 - Absolutely fantastic. The views from the villa are amazing. The steps weren't too bad after a while you got used to them. The location for exploring the Amalfi Coast is excellent. Would definately recommend this to anyone, and would use again on our expected return to this lovely part of the world. Klaus-Dieter Huch, Halberstadt, Germany October 23, 2004 - We enjoyed it very much. One of the greatest times that we ever spend togehter. Unbelivable sunrises and charming moonglowes! Thanks for all !
