What guests of Casa Assunta sayMary Dalton, Marietta, Georgia, United States June 26, 2004 - We loved the peace and quiet(despite the church bells every hour!) the amazing view, and the small town feeling, with friendly people. The steps and the walking, were strenuous, but we managed fine. The kitchen facilities were great and we made good use of it. I also even enjoyed the clothes line. It made me feel like one of the community. My neighbor, Antonio, the owner's brother, was kind enough to share some of his garden's produce too. We felt we had the best place being in Praiano. We easily got to Positano, Amalfi either by bus, or boat. The ferries are the best deal, taking less time and allowing for that incredbile view. We also visited Ravello, Pompei, Capri. Our favorite beach was Amalfi, where you rent the chairs and umbrella and they watch over your things, while you go off for some gelato or shopping and it's 5 euros for the day each (at least in June 2004). We enjoyed being part of the church community too and joined in for Mass and processions and were welcomed as their own.
Eric Cuthbert, Lutz, Florida, United States June 5, 2004 - Casa Assunta is a wonderful place to stay for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Praiano. The owners of Casa Assunta are very helpful people who will do anything possible in order to ensure their guests have a pleasant, comfortable vacation in Praiano. I feel that Summer in Italy is a wonderful service, I would recommend it to anyone here in the United States, and I will consider vacationing with you again in the future. Thank you. Andrew Rimmington, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom April 17, 2004 - We had a marvelous time the Villa is centrally located for an excellent to explore the Amalfi coast, the standard of of villas furnishings was high and it was very clean, the accomodation was perfect for our family holiday offering all the facilities we required. The only negative is that car parking is quite a distance to the villa and that there is a number of steps to access the property. We vere very pleased with the service you provided, even stepping in during the week-end Kenneth Kottke, St Petersburg, FL, United States October 25, 2003 - Casa Assunta is very nice. The view from the balcony is incredible. The only negative are all the steps. I don't think the stairs would keep us from staying at Casa Assunta again though. We enjoyed the "remoteness" of the location. The owner was very nice. We locked the keys in the apartment one night and she drove all the way from Positano to help us. We are thinking of coming back in May. Tiya Gordon, Brooklyn, NY, United States October 4, 2003 - One of the most glorious weeks I have ever had the good fortune to experience. Casa Assunta was more than we could have ever wished. Enrico and Rosalia [the owners] were beyond kind. From the night they picked us up from the bus station in Positano and showed us around to when we checked out and were halfway back to Sorrento when Enrico noticed I had left a tee shirt behind in a drawer and raced on his moped - stopping our bus in order to return it (and on those roads I assure you it is no easy feat). Everything was perfect. If you want to avoid the international tourism of Positano and love the idea of quiet sea-side town Praiano is for you. Lots of stairs - delicious food - amazing and warm people. Very friendly cats! I highly recommend Casa Assunta and thank Enrico and Rosalia for all of their personal attention and use of their beautiful home. There are 21 reviews of Casa Assunta, on 5 pages.
