Nick Mills, Bury, United Kingdom October 29, 2005 - The appartment is in a fantastic location and the view from the large terrace is spectacular and for that alone worth staying here. The bathroom is fine with lots of hot water although the shower is a bit cramped. There is a big sink, bidet and very large sink for clothes washing etc to make up for it. The kitchen is functional and there are plenty of pots and plates. If you were going in colder months I would check that the open fire is available for use because that is the only source of heating. When I stayed at the end of October the bar downstairs was closed which made evenings on the terrace unbelievably quiet and for me, perfect. The sun sets over the horizon beyond the harbour in front of you and the only noise is the occasional put put from a small fishing boat on its way out of the harbour or the ciccadas of course. If you want real peace and quiet go to San Marco at this time of year. After lots of searching for reviews of appartments in the Amalfi area and coming across www.slowtrav.com I liked the comments about your site and ended up discovering the Cilento area. I am glad I did and hope to return. Your site is very good and I have recommended it to others. Peter Wezel, Leiden, Netherlands October 1, 2005 - We enjoyed our stay in Casa Gloria very much. A beautiful location with a first-class view of the sun sinking into the sea every evening. Of course our impression was coloured by the fact that the holiday season was over, so there were almost no tourists and we had the beach mostly to ourselves. Also, probably due to the end of the season, San Marco was a very calm place (almost dull, I would say), but that was exactly what we needed after 10 days in Rome and at the Amalfi coast. For peace-lovers this is an ideal place. When the gas in the kitchen ran out and we phoned the owner, he had someone come over and install a new gas tank within half an hour, which was amazing for Italian standards!
