What guests of Villa Trotta say![]() Patrice Schimick, Downers Grove, IL, United States June 4, 2011 - It was an amazing place to visit in the Italian countryside. It's so beautiful I felt like I was living in a postcard with the views. It was so peaceful and restful. My only disappointment, and it's minor, is that I wish I had researched ahead of time on restaurants that were open in the area, we ended up finding them later, though. If you're coming to cook, or with a cook, haha, no problems. ![]() Erica Noonan, Natick, MA, United States April 30, 2011 - We just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at Villa Trotta in April 2011 with a total of 11 people in the house at various times. I was amazed to find this home and the area to be even more beautiful than the website suggests. Our children were pleased to be able to play for hours on the spacious terrace and chase lizards all afternoon. It is a quiet, peaceful place with the most stunning vistas. The perfect spot for a group more interested in cooking and relaxing than seeing a bunch of touristy things. Highly recommended. The company, Summer in Italy was also very professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. ![]() Jane Stear, Stonehaven, United Kingdom April 16, 2011 - We thought Villa Trotta was marvellous, full of character, and in a wonderful position, plenty of different access roads so didn't have to use the same ones all the time. The roads were quite a challenge in our mini bus! We used the pizza oven a couple of times, fun as we'd never used one before and pizza turned out well but in super quick time. We were able to have breakfast on the terrace most mornings. As expected it was quite a cold house so we did use the fire, but it did tend to fill the living room with smoke, not so pleasant. We had one or two short power cuts but not at critical times so that didn't matter, the bathrooms were wonderful and how great to provide bathrobes for each of us. The people of Perdifumo were lovely, the local shop provided all our food and drink needs for the house. We visited Pompeii and Vesuvius, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast, Mt Sacro, Palinuro and a sea trip, Paestum and Castellabate, all were equally rewarding for different reasons. We'd love to see more of Cilento and maybe introduce more friends or family to it on our next trip, I'm sure there will be one I just don't know when! Thanks for providing a lovely venue for first holiday in Italy. ![]() Mike O'Brien, Southport, Australia October 9, 2010 - Loved Villa Trotta, suited all our needs, will definitely recommend to friends and family who may visit from our part of the world. Excellent service, absolutely no complaints. William Merwin, Magnolia, TX, United States September 25, 2010 - Villa Trotta is a little piece of heaven! We absolutely loved it! Everything was excellent - Villa Trotta could not have been better. One tip to give first-time guests would be to keep the back door closed at night so the bugs don't come in. They are attracted to the lights in the house. Other than that, you have an amazing property! The Summer In Italy team were very receptive and very helpful. We have already give out your information to people who might be interested in an Italy vacation. Thanks for everything! There are 56 reviews of Villa Trotta, on 12 pages. You are reading page 1.
