Choose your currency to make renting your holiday house in Italy even easier!

Our goal is to make booking your holiday house in Italy as easy and stress-free as it gets. We realize how hard it is to deal with foreign currencies while at the same time comparing different holiday homes for your vacation, and so we invite you to choose your home currency from the list below. While your contract will be in euro, we hope that having an estimate of the cost of your rental in your home currency will be helpful in making your choice.

Choose your favorite currency from the list below, then press the "Choose currency" button. Euro and US$ are always shown in our rental rates, so you will not find them in the list below as there is no need to select them.

Your browser must be able to accept cookies for us to be able to personalize the rental price lists with your favorite currency.

Here are a few things about currency that you might want to know when considering a vacation rental in Italy, including two small tips that others might not give you.

Even if we are able to display the pricing information in a number of different currencies, your contract will be in Euro. This should not be a concern, since when paying by credit card or bank transfer the currency exchange will be handled by your bank or credit card company, so you don't have to do anything special.

Once your booking is confirmed, the cost in Euro of your accommodation is fixed and it is not going to change.

If you are booking ahead of time, and hence paying a deposit at reservation time with a balance to be paid later on, by the time the balance is due the total cost in your home currency might change slightly: you might end up paying a bit more, or, believe it, a bit less (really!). Even for bookings made many months before the beginning of the trip, the difference is relatively small and should not be a concern. This does not apply to bookings that are made less than 60 days before the check-in date, as for those bookings you pay the full amount at reservation time.

When you make your payment by credit card, we will charge your card the Euro amount that you expect. If you decide to pay by bank transfer we will ask you to transfer the net amount in Euro. In both cases, it will be your bank/credit card company to take care of the currency conversion, using the fair exchange rate of the day the payment is made. This exchange rate will be only slightly different than the exchange rate that we use to predict how much the charge will be in your home currency, as we update the exchange rates that we use to calculate the rental cost in your home currency quite often.

Small tip #1: if you are comparing rental rates from companies that display the rental price in Euro as well as in other currencies, check and see what exchange rate they are using. Make sure that the rate they are using is the current one: their contract is likely to be in Euro as well, and so it's very important that you are given a correct estimate of the actual amount that you will end up paying.

Small tip #2: if you are comparing rental rates from companies that only offer rates in currencies that are not Euro, or that accept payments in currencies other than Euro, check the fine print: their contract is very likely to have a clause that entitles them to increase the amount you are paying when the exchange rate changes. It's unlikely that they will have a clause that allows you to pay less in case the exchange rate gets better. So if you think you know what you end up paying, think again: what you know is that you are not going to pay less than the agreed-upon amount, but you could end up paying more.

No need to say, yes, our exchange rates are current and yes, if the exchange rates gets better for you we are happy to know that you will spend less than you expect. If it's better for you, it's better for us!
